🎱 BEST OF SPEED POOL! 🤯🔥 23 players and staff took part in the BoyleSports Charity Speed Pool Challenge! 90 seconds, every ball potted is £5 to the Bucknell Brothers charity in South Wales. Here are some of the best bits 👇
The first 2 and price were actually half decent players tbf. The trick with speed pool is to have the cue ball travelling for the shortest time possible each shot. You waste so much time swinging the cue ball round the table lol
Watching this makes me wonder: what game is harder, pool or darts? I know they’re very different, hard to compare, but it’s just something I’ve been thinking about as a dart hobbyist who has been playing more pool lately. I think the technique of throwing a dart is harder to master than potting balls, but pool (8 or 9 ball) is more complex and has more variables in how it’s played. Still, I’ve been playing darts for six years and still feel as if I have a ways to go with my throw. My progression in pool, after only playing about a year, has been much faster. Wondering if anyone has similar/different experiences with these great games
Difference is that with darts you need to be very consistent but you have some sort of free space. Whilst in pool you play against your opponent by making smart moves to also prevent your opponent from scoring. It is easier to pot the balls but more strategic
They are professional at their field, which tends to mean they are very good at other things that most other people are OK at purely because of their conpetitive nature. Takes a ruthless guy to become a pronat anytbing, darts or otherwise! So these giys wouldnt be taking any old chump beating them at any game especially in a pub. Also its about focus; they have pro level focus, pool/snooker requires similar focus. Can tell some of these guys are snooker players. And ye they probably get pissed everyday and are in pubs 😂
Lewis wasn't even in the Grand Slam and Cross would have to stop and smirk and do that thing with his foot after every attempt so he couldn't pot more than a ball in that time.
