@@heelturnsfaceI hate this gate keeping “real skaters” bs already, skateboarding is about free style and having fun, skaters telling other skaters who are valid and who are not is just lame
I really hope that with the inclusion of skateboarding into the olympics, a wider audience can appreciate and understand the beauty of skateboarding. In the same way that events like ice skating have been recognized as an art form, so is skateboarding. It's a personal expression of athleticism combined with creativity. On that note, anybody who has taken the time to read this should watch some street parts if you're into it. Shane O'neill, Yuto Horigome, Nyjah Huston, Chris Joslin, Mark Suciu, Milton Martinez, Cody McEntire have all put out some amazing work over the years, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many others worth watching for their dedication to the craft. Cheers everyone, and buen dia!
Nightmare flips are cool and all, but i wouldnt rank a run higher becsuse of it. Its just a shock value meme trick, joslin skates so aggressive. That inward heel over the set was ridiculous.@@sk8rissk8in
1:54 He says a very common question he's been getting on social media is: What's a nollie? I would like to know what his definition of "very common" is. I'm calling bullshit.
Jeezzzz. F.A.O. sports commentators: Seriously, take the day off for skating. That was a Ghetto Bird Joslin stomps (who says “stamps”?!) last trick and it was an alleyoop backside flip over the rail. Not a “Backside flip the hard way”. 🤦🏻♂️If these weird comps are gonna be bearable to watch, letting actual skaters commentate would help.
Watch on MUTE. These kooks blabbing on totally ruin it. This is worse than when x games first started. Funneling in cash and ad revenue into the sport is great and all but the cost of this “marketing through olympic exposure” is gonna be tough to endure!
These vids coming from the Olympics skateboarding are so stupid. Just post the whole footage of the quals and finals straight away. No ones wants to see bit parts weeks later
