The essence of this show is that hank hill is the everyman who is "king" justnby being a stand up guy who respects people and doesn't tolerate disrespectful people. He's a model American, not because of his political stances, but his decency and strength of character.
Keep in mind, this show was made in an era where the libs and conservatives had more respect for one another. Like a liberal and conservative getting along in this day and age is practically unheard of. Back then, it didn't matter who you voted for, cause people respected freedom of choice and all that. But, that's just the way it is when the damn government wants us divided against each other.

it’s very disturbing how much hate Texans hate us Californians to the point I was harassed by an officer in Texas simply because I have California plates. I don’t understand why you Texans hate your fellow Americans get in California we don’t care what state your from and yes California has issues but the good people here are very kind and welcoming. I used to live in Las Vegas from age 10-20 2002-2012 and Vegas was the worst Vegas is way worse than any city in California.

Most Conservatives are like Hank. Just like how most Liberals aren’t like the extremist you see on social media, the exact same thing is true for conservatives. We just live in a society that culturally worships one side of the political spectrum, and demonizes the other, even demonizes the ones that are just smack dab on the middle who are not part of any extreme.
Can agree. Despite being born in Cali and once I had join the military, i found a good group of people to teach me the ways of real American and get in line with conservative. Worked out just fine.

Canada in the summer is actually pretty good i went in the winter for niagara falls and i was freezing to death but the west coast is good year round, vancouver island is definitely worth a visit.
