That halo 2 song at the start really brought me back. I remember it so clearly. I had just gotten back from my communion and my parents told me to get changed out of my kilt and put others clothes cause we would be going out soon, I did the and folded them up so neatly then walked downstairs so gingerly as to not drop them, I opened up the box where the kilt was supposed to be placed because we had to return it to the store, staring me in the face was a xbox original with two controllers, my parents told me that the look on my face as I looked at them was priceless. I spent so long playing halo 2 with my sisters and it is some of the best memories I have made. The xbox original was my 2nd console but undoubtedly my favourite, my first was the PS2 (yes I had a both childhood) and it was good but nothing beats halo 2. I'm now 15 and still play that xbox with my sisters even though I have the MCC. Hail to halo baby

I don't have an XBOX and probably will never have.But reading the halo books and listening to these kind of videos is the next best thing,as the story and the ost's are the best parts of the series IMO

Remember where it all began, remember Reach! That was the best soundtrack, brings memories.

wow. ive never heard halo 2s soundtrack, and its REALLY GOOD

I think out of the halo series, halo combat evolved, halo 2, and halo 3 had the best soundtracks by far. Throughout each mission, each soundtrack had a purpose or a feeling behind it. Now yes the other halo's do show this, but not as much as the original three of the franchise. My favorite of all time is and will always be the soundtrack "unforgotten memories" from halo 2.

damn halo 3 was good. the music was so perfect. After the last mission on Earth, when the ships come in right as the music gets loud, the track that played on the last mission, so good.

I kinda wish they ended it with master chiefs death in H3, its the only thing I've ever cried about in video games and it was an amazing ending to my childhood trilogy.

Halo soundtracks is in a league of it's own in my opinion. I've played Alot of video games but have only heard a few soundtracks that can compare to this masterpiece.

Anybody who says ODST has a lesser soundtrack just because it isn't exactly like the other games in the series soundtracks has to get their heads examined. I find that it has some of the richest harmonies and uniquely beautiful musical decisions. There is nothing right about pushing the game and soundtrack aside just because it is different than the others. It is worth a shot just like every other spinoff title.

I personally liked halo 2 the most because while halo 3 was a very good game, it just kind of seemed like a downgrade from halo 2, to me the soundtrack was dubbed down way to much compared to halo 2s soundtrack and the campaign was ridiculously shorter and not explained quite as well. It also wasn't anywhere as unique compared two halo 2s campaign since in h2 you get two play as two different characters from two completely different perspectives. though I will give h3 some credit for better game engine, more weapons, best multiplayer, better graphics ( though that doesn't matter anymore since h2a came out ) introducing forge and theater mode, etc. All of this is just my opinion that i felt like sharing.

and to all those 343 haters out there, i love the classics for the nostalgia and save the universe story, but i also love the new ones. i think halo needed something new, something fresh and 343 gave us that. plus beautiful game design an emotional story , and chief's armor looks awesome. (im talking about halo 4 here cuz halo 5 wasnt too good)

Seriously, the new music in Halo is so far from bad, I'm infatuated with the new soundtracks, but it's not "Original halo". If you use this music, boom, millions of people will be brought back. I may enjoy it more. Thing is, this music doesn't match the art style anymore. It does but doesn't.

Halo 1 had the best atmosphere, Halo 2 had the best gameplay, Halo 3 had the best variety, Halo 4 had the best story and development

I feel Halo: Reach's OST sounds to special agent 007, it's good but isn't the best in my opinion.
