I remember asking j^p^n to collab back around 2015, and he messaged me back! To decline... Lol it just always struck me as unique that he reached out to decline, rather than just ignore me like most artists would have done.
All of j^p^n's songs remind me of that feeling when your were younger and stayed up at 3 am watching tonami on a Saturday night/early morning and your so tired that you could barely keep your eyes open but you don't want miss the next episode
Nailed it. Like there's just something about those memories that are like a fleeting high when you find something that triggers them. Early 2000s were something else.
So I want to address two things: 1) Yes I missed Gates 2) To this day I still haven't even listened to j^p^n whole discography (or if I did, I do not recall the name of all his songs). When making this "best of" I saw what were the most viewed videos 2 years ago + selected the songs according to my personal preference. There are obviously great beats from j^p^n that are not here, but I still think this selection is pretty solid all things considered.
Gates do be slapping though, although like havig listened to the discography you literally made what I would call the quitecential J^P^N mix in my opinion so thank you for that. As well this would be a great introduction to anyone who hadn't heard him previously so awesome job fam
I'm personally proud that I was already familiar with most of these song before even watching the video. Kinda disappointed you only included the first part of Amend, it was the song that introduced me to j^p^n so I kinda hold it close. I got over it upon seeing Heartbreak was here (my favourite j^p^n). Also j^p^n and Evangelion are a match made in heaven.
i found this playlist a few years ago, when i was going thru some shit. i used to listen to it while i studied for exams everyday, or just bedrotting, and made me feel a little better. listening to this now is so crazy bc like,, i actually go outside now, can talk to ppl, have friends, good grades. my family relationships have improved, finnanical status too. and even tho listening to these songs remind me of that time, which wasn't even that long ago, it's comforting. like, that was in the past now, and i've improved so much, even tho at the time i thought i'd spiral into something worse. sorry for my yapping xD just rlly love this playlist and the artist
service was the song that shown me to j^p^ns music, I had heard the other tracks somewhere before, but service was the song that truly caught my attention, it gave me a sense of dread but it was peaceful, and such it was one of the many but most important songs I've ever heard and had the joy of listening to
if you look at the characters close enough theyre all realistic but in other ways asuka tries to be the best and wants others to look at her, shinji is the opposite he wants to be all alone and live his life, rei tries to satisfy others by following orders and stop thinking for herself every character in nge reflects a lifestyle you gonna choose
@@onyxonfiree6536 definitely I vary between shinji and asuka ofc because they are both foils of eachother. Perfect yin & yang, They are even drawn the exact same I noticed! The only difference is asuka has tits and different hair I swear 🤣 shinji is alone because he fears rejection doesn't have confidence or try. asuka fears rejection so she rejects everyone first hence them never being able to get close to each other till the end. Beautiful series.
It's impossible for me to picture j^p^n without evangelion! Let's be honest these 2 whereade for each other both give old school , mystery ,and (over)thinking vibes
Good luck soldier. Also, did you buy the blueray version, or the original? There are some sleight differences in the length and amount of scenes towards the end of the show (none are really necessary to enjoy watching though).
@@exclusiveoro5349 Yeah the Blue-rays have some scenes that further explain certain characters feelings, but you can kinda infer like 70% of it without them.
@@chesscankill FUCCKKK guess ima have to buy it all again or does streaming services like Hulu have them? I just really love the music of this goddamn anime the menu screen the op the outtro it’s all one big vibe and def don’t wanna lose that aspect if I do watch it on a streaming service but will if it goes in-depth with the characters
@Exclusive Oro Netflix does have the directors cut, which is only different on episodes 21-24, but the main difference with this version is that Netflix did not buy the rights to the credits songs (Fly me to the Moon) so some mediocre piano will cap off the episodes. Also, there is a proper order to the movies (start with the End of Evangelion after you finish the show).
Ngl this helps with my anxiety. I love mathematics but venturing into an unknown proof on a strict deadline can be terrifying. Venturing into anything unknown is scary. I guess that's what I liked about NGE so much. Shinji is terrified, but bravery is not being fearless, it is being afraid and pushing forwards anyways. Not letting one's emotions control their actions. After many years of honing in on a skill people can create the illusion that they are all knowing or not afraid, but everyone hides that piece of themselves behind their mirage of credibility or confidence. To deny it's existence is only detrimental to one's self. To accept it and overcome it, is a true enlightenment of the soul.
Thanks for editing out the scream in scarce! Great video Edit: That was just a remix of it not the orignal, anyway i have like 20 j^p^n songs in my playlist now, thanks for the uh whats a name relevance? No whatever its called to start listening to his music
Highly recommend checking put j^p^n albums in bandcamp, there is still too many that hasn't given attention. Just listen to his vibes while doing work or stuff and it will take you.
