As footballers highlight reels go, his is somewhat unimpressive. He's not that clinical in front and not exactly the quickest. I hope he certainly proves me wrong.

Rooney was super wonder kid. He bloomed early and his career went downhill early (Cesc Fabregas was similar). Rooney was a beast from the get go until his decline. The elegance level of Berbatov is super super rare. You have it or you don't. So these two are nothing alike those two. These two look meh if you use either Rooney and Berbatov for comparison. Also, Berbatov and Rooney didn't blend well as partners.
@@davidcarter7337 I didn't say he was bad! Two good players don't always make a good partnership. Benzema and Mbappe didn't play well together at France NT in Euro 2020. Playing Gerrard and Lampard notoriously were known to make England unbalanced
