Totally agree! I hate France lost his chauvinisme. That's what made France great! Yeah some people couldn't stand it, but if you do, just don't go there, nobody puts a gun to your head.
It's a clip from the movie "The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob" released in 1973.
im here cuz some stupid facebook "who were you in a past life" generator said I started out as this de funes guy in my first life. never heard of him. Im 40, must be before my time
@neoperseus: As a matter of fact, if you watch the whole movie (The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob), it's a parody of nationalism. Because nationalism leads to nowhere...
But de Funès wasn´t a leftist. This movie is so good because it shows what tolerance is before the word tolerance became a socialist word. But de Funès was a rather conservative man.
This is from "The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob," released in 1974. Fune plays a raging bigot who gets into a crazy series of mis-identity experiences. Literally one of the most gut splitting funny movies ever made.
+CallmeMat well done sir you are my hero tough french people do tend to think the other way around ,,, and apperantly most think like Louis de Funes in this movie:) they see all films dubbed to french (main reason why none of them speaks English that well ) but def all french comedies should be watched in their original language with sub if needed to a classical that is probably his best work in a long career of great films rabi jacob elle va dancer :) cracks me up each time
TheBarbahaba I'm not french! I don't speak french. I'm brazilian.... The thing is that I hate dubbed movies. I think it takes away a lot of the plot flow. I rather watch movies with subtitles.
CallmeMat i agree 100% with you the director intended for a certain package and the original sound of the actors has a lot to do with it especially in french comedies :) what i was referring to is that in france any movie that is broadcast on tv is dubbed to french which i think is not only a mistake but a sad way to appreciate other countries movies
