I love your sweet silly bird. 😂 i want an Amazon sooo much. Lol my 2 largest birds are a senegal and a goffins cockatoo. Both are rescues. Thanks for sharing 😀
wings should not be clipped it’s what makes birds unique and gives them freedom, i made the mistake of clipping mines wings but i’m happy he’s grown them back
Hey guys- I’m wondering which bird I should get... a blue fronted amazon or a Soloman Island Eclectus. Don’t worry, I’ve owned parrots before and researched a lot. I just cant think of which I should get and I’m thinking only one of them. So which do you think? Points: I have other birds I’ll let him fly around outside (looking for a male) Will take him on walks of course He won’t be free roamed and will have a cage though (large) Will have plenty of toys, interaction etc (to where there is a limit though!) And more... I’m hoping he will get along with my other birds (each bird is individual though so we don’t know what he will think of them) Well... any ideas?
I recommend any amazon parrot, I own a blue fronted one and their extremely cute, playful, curious, naughty, beautiful and have a cute high voice! Of course they are extremely loud like any other parrot and bite pretty hard, they also grow their talons extremely quick. I also don’t take mine outside since there are cats, dogs, cars and a lot of people in my area but i think it’ll be fine on a leash but i have no idea about free flight and how it’ll get along with other birds.
Where is Nelly. She looks like she asking you to take her down to get off those slippery wires. She nows she doesn't have the feathers to fly yo the floor. Is she still alive? Card board boxes to tear up, be busy. What happens when she sees a REAL puppy.
i have a female blue fronted amazon that rubs herself on her cage and anything she can find like she in heat and she also make noises like she is having sex she is 24 years, and hovers like nelly over he cage door her door what is this behavure
Have you checked whether your bird need to mate ?? The wing shudders is very indicative of hormonal behavior. You should really look into it with an avian vet. It’s cruel to keep a hormonal bird from a mate.
