#तारीफ़_करूँ_क्या_उसकी_जिसने_तुम्हें_बनाया.... संगीतकार #ओपी_नैयर_साहब, #मोहम्मद_रफी़_साहब के सबसे घनिष्ठ मित्रों में से एक थे। (ओंकार प्रसाद नय्यर- 16 जनवरी 1926 - 27 जनवरी 2007) अब चूंकि दोनों महानुभाव लाहौर से थे, इसलिये दोनों की आपस में ख़ूब छनती थी। ओपी उन कुछ ख़ास शख़्सियतों में से एक थे जो रफी़ साहब के साथ बड़े बेतक़ल्लुफ होकर, तू-तड़ाक, हंसी-मजाक, मस्ती करते थे। ओपी साहब ने रफ़ी साहब की आवाज़ में पहली बार अपनी फिल्म #बाज़ (1953) का नगमा, "घटा में छुपकर भी बिजली झलक दिखला ही जाती है.." रिकार्ड किया था। इसके साथ जो सिलसिला शुरू हुआ तो उन्होंने अपनी लगभग हर फिल्म जैसे, सी आई डी, नया दौर, तुमसा नहीं देखा, मेरे सनम, एक मुसाफिर एक हसीना, कश्मीर की कली, फागुन, फिर वही दिल लाया हूं, बहारें फिर भी आऐंगी, के लिए #रफ़ी_साहब की आवाज़ का जबरदस्त इस्तेमाल किया, नतीजतन वे सभी फिल्में सुपरहिट साबित हुईं। मजेदार और गौरतलब बात यह है कि विद्रोही और अक्खड़ मिजाज़ के मालिक ओपी साहब ने लता मंगेशकर को कभी भी अपनी फिल्मों में नहीं गवाया। ओपी कहते थे कि उनके गाने लता की आवाज़ से मेल नहीं खाते हैं। लताजी की जगह उन्होंने हमेशा ही रफ़ी साहब के साथ गीता दत्त, आशा भोंसले, सुमन कल्याणपुर, दिलराज कौर को लेकर धुनें बनाईं। ‘मांग के साथ तुम्हारा...'या ‘जरा हौले हौले चलो मोरे साजना..' गीतों में खासतौर पर जो 'टप-टुप, टक-टुक' जैसी घोड़े की टापों की आवाज़, #ओपी की "सिग्नेचर इस्टाइल" मानी जाती है। फ़िल्म #रागिनी (1958) के निर्माता अशोक कुमार, इसमें किशोर कुमार के साथ अदाकारी कर रहे थे। इस फ़िल्म का गाना "मन मोरा बावरा..." क्लासिकल म्यूजिक पर बेस्ड था, इसलिए नैय्यर साहब ने तय किया कि ये नगमा वो रफ़ी साहब से ही गवाएंगे। पर्दे पर रफ़ी साहब की आवाज़ को लेकर किशोरदा के मन में कुछ हिचकिचाहट थी, इस बावत उन्होंने बड़े भैया से बात की, लेकिन दादामुनि ने दख़लअंदाज़ी से साफ़ इंकार कर दिया। पचास के दशक के दौरान 'आल इंडिया रेडियो' ने ओपी के संगीत को आधुनिक कहते हुए ये कहकर बैन लगा दिया कि इससे नौजवानों पर बुरा असर पड़ेगा। इसलिए रेडियो पर भी इनके गीत काफ़ी लंबे समय तक नहीं बजाए गये लेकिन ओपी ने इस बात की कभी परवाह नहीं की और वो अपने हिसाब से धुन बनाते रहे। उस समय सिर्फ़ रेडियो सीलोन पर ही इनके नये गीत सुने जा सकते थे।

O.P. Nayyar gave us some of the best music ever created in Bollywood. Mere sanam, Phir wohi Dil Laya Hoon etc. These movies used to have 8 or 9 songs and they were all hits. This was the golden period of Hindi film music.
