Pipipi is the highest ranked Cagliostro player in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising at the time of recording. This player is making me see the light, this character is broken maybe worse than Nier. I don't think you can compare Cag with Nier. Great players will abuse Cag, no doubt. Poor players can't, that's why they go to Nier in droves.

Cag is defintiely not top tier, shes moreso high mid tier. Pretty much all of her specials and half her moves are massively negative on block, she becomes really awkward without traps, and her defence is awful. Setplay characters have a lot of potential and its really up to the user to do as much as they can with them- but that doesn't mean their movesets cant suck.

She is top tier, you just dont think because she isnt mega braindead like the other top tiers in this game, thus only people who are actually good at the game are winning with her.

@@neuropath6465 no. If you use 214x after an autocombo then you're getting hit for ages, if you miss your 236x then youre getting hit, if you place your trap too late then youre getting hit. Cag is a good character but she has many disadvantages with her moveset, mostly that she relys on specials to extend combos. And her midscreen combos are weak without traps.

"her midscreen combos are weak without traps" I generally don't use traps for midscreen combos, unless after an anti-air.

Nerf what? This kind of Cagliostro gameplay can only be seen on very high level Cagliostro players such as Pipi, Merp and Prada. While she's not as hard to play as someone like Yuel or Uno, to compare her with Nier who needs to only master 1 combo and 1 set of mixup is delusional. You can mash through her teleports, you can bait the air tp, there are a million ways to bypass her traps through the limitless neutral skips in this game, her 66L does not often give her a free full combo on hit unlike other characters, her 66L does not jail as much on block, there's enough delay on her spikes for you to just run through them, her wall carry is not very good unlike someone like djeeta who can wall combo you on round start, and she reaches her combo limit so fast. When played in a high level sure she's a menace but that's the result of the players' hardwork. They practiced enough to get to that level. And as reward for their effort they get to see their main nerfed?
