Really awesome when they help the driver get back into the race. Also helping is fun. The spectators can have an impact on the race. Also if it’s wrecked you can snag a broken off piece as memorabilia
Often times there are spectators who mess with the track to cause more accidents. they dig holes, build jumps and spread dirt/gravel on the track. Many of the videos in this compilation are a result of track tampering.
: My God they are so idiots these young people who participate in rallies ! But don't worry, there are e'en mo' idiots than them = the spectators who risk their lives for nonsense.
It is a nice change of pace. I know in some parts of the world the crowd seems to play chicken with the driver. I was watching a documentary about Group B and the spectators were insane.

Rally fans really are a different breed. People often mention how the drivers are a different breed (which of course they are) but the fans are pretty wild too.
@@cute60666 That's what I wrote. The video that I commented and how they drove is exactly how it was here in the woods when I mostly watched in the 60s-70s. It was a folk festival and most of the drivers were amateurs and drove because it was fun. What was funnest for me were all these Moskvich and Lada cars that got stuck everywhere and had to be helped to move on. Between each section, the cars were patched together with steel wire and bush repairs. There were no service / branded depots like today. They stood where there was room. Sometimes the police came and asked them to move. I mean today's WCR isn't as much fun as it used to be. When they started charging to come out to certain routes or see when they service and fix the cars then it wasn't as fun anymore. So with that, I think it's funny that they still organize these rallies. It brings back a lot of fun memories.

One of the uniqueness and attractions of this sport is the extraordinary riders and good people who are always ready to help... I hope you are always healthy, GOOD JOB

Personally to me it's a very fine line between being a driver/navigator in this sport and being insane . When younger I love racing even some cross country stuff but this is just pure freekn crazy.

So don't be a driver people hate...got it. And I've never seen people run to help a car that just charged them and almost ran them over... You must get a time bonus for going through the hay bales... FINALLY, happy Croatian people!
Gnarly, who picks up all the carnage, fence post, fences, peoples yards telephone poles, etc. crazy !!! Who comes back in and repairs the road. Yeah you’d have nuts to be a spectator they do a great job helping out the drivers that’s for sure. The time prepping these cars just to see them get destroyed, it’s definitely an expensive hobby, there has to be some big prize money involved. But DAMN get after it lady’s and gentlemen racers. Good stuff, thanks for your answering my questions. Have a great day all. Wow. 4-17-2023 U.S.A
I think it's the rally organizers that do so. They've no doubt got insurance for such things. Though considering some of the property I've seen damaged or destroyed in these types of videos has been over 100 years old, I can't imagine an insurance payout even comes close to the property's true value. And that doesn't even include the amount of damage done to farmers crops that I've seen. If I were a farmer and I learned a rally was due to take place right by my fields I would _not_ be happy and try and block it - or put something in the way to cause more damage to the cars and protect my crops. In the clip you point out - I'm really surprised they didn't even attempt to put any kind of protection around that brick construction, like airbags or straw or a single barrier of any kind. It was obvious it was at risk, being on the outside of a very sharp corner.
J’espère que l’oratoire a été reconstruit, c’est dommage de faire passer les voitures ici alors qu’il est en plein dans le virage, c’était sûr qu’il allait être détruit

Who will pay for it, if a car crashes into a building and causes a major damage? Has every car/driver an own insurance or has the organizer to pay for such damages?
La Carrera está bién pero los conductores paren embriagados antes de conducir y no parece conocer las rutas .saludos desde España. Lamentos por los pobres coches.
rally racing is a form of racing where teams try to get to the end of stages (basically just long routes on paved and dirt roads) as fast as possible. The rules vary depending on the host organization, location, and class, but generally a rally consists of a scouting run where the drivers go through the whole course at a slow speed, then a number of stages over the course of a few days.
the tree on corner at 16.20 is trouble as you want cut corner but u see tree put you off so go wide loose it if tree was not there they go flat out just cut edge with right wheel, so stop the crashing is remove tree next time race on there.
