Best of Rami Malek as Ahkmenrah in the Night At The Museum trilogy. I do not own anything. All rights belong to their respective owners. This video is solely for entertainment purposes.
He’s actually Egyptian in real life! So that role was perfect for him! And it paved the path for him to win various awards for Bohemian Rhapsody, all the way up to the Oscar!
He said he hated being cast in roles which portrayed Middle Eastern as villains the other associated stereotypes. I’m happy for him that he found a role which honoured his Egyptian roots.
@@megurineziam5900 Of course Egyptians were Pharaohs but the more recent anti-free-speech 'liberal' mindset regarding any non-European actor portraying their pre-20th century ancestors is very prickly indeed. Try giving an African heritage actor a film role involving a costume true to that of his 18th century forebears and you're likely to be hung drawn and quartered. For pandering to "racist" "stereotypes". Personally, I think grass skirts are very appealing on all sorts ;)
@@blackmore4ohmygoodness first it's wrong for indian people to play Egyptians because that's not their heritage and just because they may LOOK like Egyptians, they arent. NOW IT'S NOT EVEN OKAY FOR AN EGYPTIAN TO PLAY AN EGYPTIAN I DON'T UNDERSTAND PEOPL
amal zuhair I’d like to think the tablet brought back anything that had been organic or is meant to resemble an organic. That is why the cupid statues, paintings, skeletons, wax figures, and mummies would all come to life.
DanielleandBerry Equine in everything I’ve read - canon or non canon- he was young - like nineteen or something when his brother killed him. So young baby was actually young :(
Rami has such brilliant comedic timing, it's so surprising he doesn't do much comedy anymore. Seriously the delivery of 'nothing it's just for decoration' and 'too dark??'
0:32 “Actually it has a magical power to bring all things exhibits to life!” “No really, what’s it do” Rami realising it’s hopeless to try and inspire a bored know-it-all child: “Nothing, it’s just for decoration 😑”
@@elenepotskhishvili6718 All little kids want to feel smarter than an adult. My middle school sister is the same way, constantly reminding me what to do, when I pretend to forget.
He is big Johnny Depp fan! His girlfriend when they were very young once explained that, Rami always said, what would Johnny Depp do. One halloween he dressed up as Edward Sissorhand.
I just love the fact that he is Egyptian, it makes Ahkmenrah so believable! I love NATM and I always will! That trilogy is a masterpiece, with a proper reason to bring together all these amazingly interesting historical personalities together
True, he stole the show. As a kid, i was dissapointed that he didn't get more screentime especially in the second movie. Bohemian Rhapsody was for sure the movie that i got to known him a lot just from his name but Night At The Museum was the first movie that i didn't know who he his name was but know his face. That's why when i watched BoRhap, i was like "wait have i seen this guy before?" and he was that mummy in Night At the Museum
the way he goes from being his own ancestors in comedic way to perfectly imitate Freddie Mercury and being villain in an ending to Daniel Craig's James Bond is just a masterpiece of acting skill
I remember the younger me being so overwhelmed with the idea that everything can come to life in a museum, I still am. It really opens up one's imagination and fantasy. I used to imagine about what I'd sneak inside there for it to become alive, Archie comics were one of those XD
@@LizFoley-yh7iv No, he played Akh in all 3 iterations of Night At The Museum. His roles in the 1st two were quite small, but he was there in all 3, and he had a lot to do in the last one.
The Freddie speaking voice is strong in this one! :-P (And he's wearing dark brown contact lenses here - I still wonder why he didn't have brown lenses as Freddie?)
It wasn’t because of him being allergic. They were worried that it wouldn’t be able to read his emotions when there would emotional scenes to which Feddie sometimes it didn’t express it out loud.
Why nice? I mean, I think Malek's great but nationality or "heritage" has nothing to do with an actor playing a role. Would you be against a non-Egyptian playing a Pharaoh?
@@khould8878 or blacks and subsahariasn to play egyptiasn as well , they should allways cast egyptians ........and if coptics like rami in this c ase even better
Same! No wonder when I watched Bohemian Rhapsody and saw him,I can’t help but think that I’ve seen him before Turns out he was a part of my childhood because I watched Night at the Museum growing up! XD
I remembered Rami Acted in: The Pacific Twilight: Breaking Dawn The War At Home The Night At The Museum Mr. Robot And Bohemian Rhapsody Thats just what i got feel free to add more
I wanna thank personally director manager everyone else of this movie for bringing rami into the picture of pharaoh because lets be honest here for a moment no one else could play pharaoh like him hes got the looks hes got the charisma and hes everyone's favourite ❤️
I can not tell how much NATM influenced my life. It might be stupid to say but it's one of the reasons why I love history till now. Just imagine me, a Chinese little girl who barely knew English went on Google and searched for English introductions for these characters. I was a little disappoint while I found Ahkmenrah was not real in history but what's the matter? I digged in Egyptian culture for over a half year. I'd even say I watched BoRhap half for Rami, half for Queen. But I didn't imagine it would take me into the Queen fandom, which I'm so glad to be in, and definitely will influence me forever, too! Anyway, NATM was the best dreamland I had when I was a kid, but it's the time to leave the party. Goodbye, It's sunrise.
Rami Malek has already achieved so much in such a short time! I can’t imagine what else is in store for him in the future! Whatever it will be I am sure it will be fantastic!
I just realized that this is Rami. Woah. I love Rami and I remember when I was little I had a crush on Ahkmenrah in Night At The Museum. Weird how things come back to you.
I loved him in Night of the Museum as a kid, and I looked for movies with Rami in it after that. When I saw that he would be.playing Freddie I freaked out. I love him so much im so proud of how far he's come
I love how a queen song is played in the background. *goes back in time* “hey you know how night at the museum had rami malek in it? Well, haha, funny story-“
Night at the museum was a gift of a movie franchise and was even more iconic for casting people who fit the cultural backgrounds of the characters they played too. ALSO Robin Williams was in it and a very gorgeous Rami Malek
@@LEEKOPHOBIA It wouldn't make me fret. Neither the other way around. I like it when characters usually played by white people are played by black actors (Sophie Okenado playing Nancy in 'Oliver Twist' comes to mind). It makes a change, that's all.
Does anyone saw that Tumblr post were someone questioned that a “white person” was making an Egyptian character and then found out that Rami Malek is literally Egyptian
