@@smallerbaker5885 well there’s most likely gonna be 5 tight ends capable of starting week 1 from this class Darnell Washington luke muskgrave tucker Kraft dalton kincaid and micheal Mayer
Yep, if you know what to look for you don’t need a first rounder at running back. I can remember when the position was the second highest valued and you absolutely wanted a top ten rb.
4.45 or faster is excellent speed for a running back. Technically 4.52 or faster is ideal if their weight is 215lbs or more. An equally important drill is the short shuttle. 4.25 seconds or better is what most scouts want from their running backs.
that was really fast when he played. sure darrell greens exist in every generation, but as a whole every 10 years or so, the entire league becomes faster. this combine is a perfect example of what im talking about. look at how fast the defensive lineman in this combine are compared to 20 years. ya they had a javon kearse back then who was a freak, but this combine just had like 20 defensive lineman all running 4.6 or better. so considering the fact that 4.43 is still fast currently for a running back, LT had some wheels for his time.
This is a better all around class than what people were saying in the beginning. There were multiple impressive players in every position I watched. From OL to DL, QB, RB, and WR. There's some good players to be gotten. The first 3 rounds are going to be interesting. I think Duece Vaughn is going to be a lot better in the NFL than people may realize at this moment.
It's slightly bias but I am telling you. Chase Brown is ready for the NFL and has a wide skill set to suit an NFL team willing to take him the 2nd day of the draft. Extreme value there.
A lot of impressive backs this year! Obviously bijan Robinson, but jahmyrr Gibbs, Devon achane, Mohamed Ibrahim, Zach charbonett and I really like deuce Vaughn and Johnson from Texas showed he can play when bijan was out.
He was only 0.05 seconds faster than Chubb at the combine, and Chubb measured 12 lbs. heavier. Maybe comparable, but the difference in speed is pretty negligible, especially considering the difference in mass.
Difference is Bijan can cut on a dime. Can also maintain close to top speed while making subtle lateral movements. If in the right system, this guy will florish
I believe it is so you can get a read on best speed across postions, WR, TE, RB, OL, and the defense. This isn't game speed, as they don't have pads, but trying to measure innate speed.
