Thought this was appropriate after posting Heartwarming Moments {None of the clips in this compilation are owned by me. They are the property of GameGrumps}
@@lemonaidleo8283 is that what it's called when you cut between scenes in a way that continues the earlier conversation? I never heard that name before, and it always bugged me. Especially since you're right. Those are my absolute favorite type of transitions.
Don't mind me, just makin' notes to myself. 7:42 "i believe in u" 9:47 "douched around like a douche" 20:45 "DID YOU STEAL MY FUCKIN' PINK STAR!?" "...No." "I'm gonna SKIN you."
For every pile of salt they put on a roast, they either dust it off and apologize to eachother, know theyre messing around and laugh at it, ones messing around while one adds salt, or add more salt to the salt roast
You know these guys are really blessed in a healing way. Many times they have brought me out of a bad depression and these clips are some of the most healing.
ok not to be that person because i 100% support self care and i’m hella glad so many people can relax and destress because of Dan and Arin but you do realize you commented this on a video where you can’t go more than 10 seconds without one of them saying fuck you
14:33 Dan: “God, All these boss fights are just bridges to get that SWEET menu!” Arin: “..Dan? I need you to chill.” No matter how many times I hear that, That always cracks me. For two reasons. The fact you can hear how fed up Arin is and more importantly.. Dan is correct. The Menu’s have always, and always WILL be where all the riveting action is!
20:46 Imma leave this timestamp here because i keep replaying it can't believe ones of my best friendships started almost exactly like this and i wanna send this to my friend but i'm just gonna get salty over it again lmao
Arin:” What if game grumps was short for video game grumps?” Dan: “COULD YOU IMAGINE??? IN A CRAZY SITUATION WHERE A VIDEO GAME CHANNEL MENTIONS VIDEO GAMES IN THE TITLE?”
For some reason I have always loved the gold leopard pit bit that Danny does. I even recorded it when I first heard it and saved it on my phone and listen to it every now and again and just laugh. How they come up with these things on the spot I'll never know.
From what I understand, Japan is called Japan because when explorers from Europe got to China's east coast - I think it was Marco Polo but don't quote me on this - they asked what those islands to the east were. They said it was the island of Zsa (which I think means sun) Gabor (which through a translation error was read like "bun" or "pun"). Through mistranslated and misread Japanese-to-Mandarin-to-Italian-to-English, sounded like something like "Zsa-pun" or "Japan".
This is mostly incorrect. While Marco Polo did record a name for Japan (Cipangu), the word Japan comes from the Malay language. When Portuguese merchants arrived in Malaysia in the 16th century, they adopted the Malay word for Japan and brought it back to Europe, where it spread across the continent. The Japanese word for their own country is Nippon. Zsa Zsa Gabor was a 20th century American actress. Whoever told you that name meant Japan was pulling a prank on you ;)
And for those who are interested: Germany actually has an unusually large variety of names in different languages. This is because Germany was barely a thing before the 19th century - it was divided into numerous smaller states, and geographically is was not a very distinct entity either; instead, in most cases surrounding regions took the name of the germanic region/tribe they had most contact with and eventually applied it to the entirety of what is now the state of Germany. So the French call Germany ‘Allemagne’ based on an ancient German tribe that lived in south-west Germany. The UK uses Germany based on the Germanic tribes. I believe a few other countries use a name based on the Saxon tribes that lived in Germany. The name Germany itself uses - Deutschland - simply means ‘(our) people’s land’. The English word for the population of The Netherlands - Dutch- has the same root.
I tried creating Dan Avidan on WWE 2K18 using someone else's Charlie Haas face photo & Derrick Bateman's hairstyle, but the end result was Superman's college photo.
You know those moments when your video buffers at the exact moment there is "awkward silence" and you sit there longer than you should thinking "This is a lot longer than I remember"
"I believe in you! "I believe in your ability to die at my hands." can we talk about how cold that line was tho. like, superhero to supervillain talk right there. fuckin hell
Anyone know where the clip at 9:50 comes from, I’ve been searching for that quote for ages now lol EDIT: ya boi got it its from mario maker episode 103 baby~
12:01 "Les Etats Unis" is a literal translation of "The United States" we don't call it differently, we just say it with french words. Just wanted to say that for culture. It's free and you're welcome.
This is pretty much exactly how my best friend and I act around each other from time to time. Now that I think about it, I feel like everyone here has either an arin or a dan best friend, and if you don’t I pity you
