It is true! No one ever wants to look where they are going or they think everyone else is going to slam on their brakes to avoid them. Ironically these people show up a lot when there is no one behind you. It is as if they just want to pull out in front of you just to do it. They pull out like they are in a massive hurry and then they often drive so slowly you wonder if they are drunk. How many of them are texting is something I can't really answer for sure but it is a curse on our roads with everyone doing it and seeing to think that it is OK. Other times people who do all of these things might say we are in a hurry. Really they are just trying to falsely spin it the other way. These people sometimes make a trip take way too long and we shouldn't have to leave super early just because they want to play these games with us. We have a life and that is something that they don't seem to have!!

I always drive with everything that I'll need during my travel within reach. My cell phone is blue tooth connected, smokes to my left on the door, drink in closest cup holder, music preset on my RU-vid Music & tissue sitting out on my passenger seat. Nothing else needed... anything else can wait including text messages or handling of my phone. Besides, my car insurance company has an app where it recognizes when & if I touch my phone, speed or hit my brakes hard. 💯

Number 10: as a trucker I actually complain about truck drivers doing this all the time. When you stop on the side of the road aka the shoulder you are supposed to use the shoulder if available to get up to speed at least somewhat before merging onto the travel lanes again. Even if it looks somewhat clear and the guy coming up behind you in the right lane could move over if they are paying enough attention you still have to be careful. that is the whole point of getting up to speed before merging back on. This is what can happen when you do not do that and almost no drivers do this for some dumb fucking reason. They have zero problems using the shoulder to slow down but they can't use it to get back up to speed. I can absolutely guarantee you that if the police got involved, even if the driver in the travel lane was sitting there on his phone he would not be considered at fault because the one that caused the unnecessary problem aka the accident, it was entirely the fault of the guy who entered the travel lane while going 5 mph. For my fellow truckers that don't fully understand what the hell I just said yes you may not have been taught any of this while I'm driving school but most state laws say this and that includes four-wheelers as well as semis. When you are getting moving from the shoulder you must start getting up to speed while your 4 ways are on. They once you get to around 30-40 miles an hour if it's safe to do so you turn on your left signal and slowly get into the travel Lane. Once you are in the travel Lane turn off your left turn signal and make sure your four ways are still on until you get back up to speed that the highway is set to. Just because it "should be obvious" does not mean you have the right of way any point in time. You must yield to traffic already in the travel Lane as if you were getting onto the highway from an on-ramp. If you don't know the yielding laws about that you should not be a driver at all.

If you feel like a situation might become dangerous, avoid it by breaking slightly or changing lanes. 3. If you see an accident occurring, ALWAYS stop and make sure there is no more help needed. 4. also be sure to use your 4 ways, EricFortuneJR is right unless you have an emergency, like a blown steer, never park on the shoulder. most of the time whatever you are trying to do can wait until you are at an exit ramp. I been driving semi for nearly 7 years and haven't had a highway accident because i keep safety as my highest priority and I'm never in a hurry, when you rush you make mistake and that could lead to accident, take it slow. in the grand scheme of things rushing and speeding and playing lane hopping doesn't add any more time to your trip and that does is increase your likely hood of getting into an accident

basically, you dont get car insurance to pay for the other drivers car if you f*ck up, you get insurance to cover yourself regardless of who f*cks up. so in this case he had insurance on his car but it wasn't enough to cover the cost of the car in an accident. places that are no fault basically dont care who caused the accident, its up to each person to cover their own car. keeps you from getting screwed by someone else not having insurance. the only way to get screwed is if you dont carry insurance or if you dont get enough coverage.

#10 is 100% the cammer's fault. And what the hell are you doing on the right shoulder in the first place? The shoulder is for emergency stopping only, and what you did here is exactly why that law exists. Unless you need a first responder to show up at that location for some reason, it's highly likely you had no good reason to be stopped there in the first place. Somebody I knew was killed when he did exactly what you did....pull right out into the right lane from the shoulder at low speed and right in front of somebody coming up at freeway speed. You do that in a truck and you're going to kill whoever rear-ends you - and it WILL end in jail/prison time for you afterward. Even if you do have a valid reason to be there, don't ever pull out into the travel lane at 5-10mph. Leave your 4-ways on and get up to at least 45mph first, then move over ONLY if any traffic already in that lane has already moved left. Even if they are signaling left, it doesn't mean they actually can move over. Somebody else could be in the space to their left, or a speeder behind and to the left of them could be at risk, if the space to their left is clear and they move over. Who the heck taught you that stopping on the right shoulder randomly and pulling back onto the road at that low speed is even okay to do anyway?

That dude at 2:26 has what could be called "a careless disregard for life" His insistence on proving his toughness could have not only cost the other drivers life, it could have easily resulted in multiple other people being severely injured or killed. "Sorry you can't walk anymore, but I needed to be a badass"

just so you know, the sounds are added in by someone else. that isn't actual audio of the incident. so it has nothing to do with cammer wanting to be more bad ass and everything to do with the other truck moving over without having enough room or looking.

#31 makes me wish they never would've got rid of the cabovers here in the USA although cabovers weren't as safe nor ride as comfy as conventional cabs but they were easier to maneuver in. I remember I saw them everywhere back in the 1980s & down. Nowadays the only cabovers I see often are fire trucks, garbage trucks, yard spotters, crane trucks, front discharge cement trucks, concrete pumper trucks, & non semi trucks like those little box ones that furniture companies & others have.

It is truly amazing how oblivious some people are to the physical world around us. A car will never win against the inertia of nearly 80,000 lbs of mass. Don't even try to do battle, just keep well out of the way.

2:38 There are two #3s today. This trucker needs to keep silent in cheering the other truck going off the road. A good plaintiffs lawyer for the other trucker could argue the case that the cammer deliberately caused the accident by not slowing all the while cheering. The comment about messing with the wrong guy could be portrayed as a threat.

I will NEVER pass a semi on the right nor ride in its blind spot on the left. If the limit is 65-truck is going 60-I will then go full speed (above the speed limit for less than 5 seconds to make sure I fully pass) until I get ahead of the truck. I then stay in the passing lane until I can see the full truck in my rear view. I don’t know how some people got their license, but it’s terrifying

Video 6 same as 3. I drive a 36 foot Motorhome and just finished 5,500 miles in 3 months. I drive the right lane and watch ahead for on ramp problems. It is easier to let up on the gas a little before the on-ramp traffic. If you wait until the last second the on-ramp driver will slow down so now I have to slow down even more.

#10 was well deserved. Idiots stopping on the shoulder to do something switch drivers or log off of their log book cook their noodles. Then they see traffic coming from behind and decide I better floor it into the lane of traffic at 3mph. This industry is starting to suck more and more as time goes.

#9 - in the Amazon truck's defense that SB i35 construction area between San Marcos and San Antonio is AWFUL and has been for years. The barriers are literally right up against the lane there is no shoulder and the lanes literally swerve around throughout the construction zones with BAD absolutely BAD markings. I used to be cut off all the time through that construction. You can't see anything in bright sun, nobody knows where the lanes are, and you're all pumping 70+mph. It's a hell-scape.
@Dangerwiggles
@Dangerwiggles 11 месяцев назад
Most trucks stick to the middle lanes because they have no room for error against the walls. But then you're passing a semi against the wall and he drifts into your lane a little but you got nowhere to go. Talking about poopin bricks

It's incredible that everybody thinks in these videos that a semi (18 wheeler for Americans) can pull up on a dime ( about the size of a five cent piece) they are bigger, faster, and heavier than your tiny car, and most often have heavy loads, so take way longer to pull up. I am amazed by the ignorance in these videos, wondering every two seconds wtf? I have people who drive or drove trucks for a living, so I have a respect for these guys, my husband also drove delivery trucks for a time, so he is also teaching me respect for these people. Take a second, be aware of your surroundings, and for god's sake, leave the phone alone. There are rules now about using phones whilst driving, look them up. It will be an expensive trip out if you get caught. Glad to see that most of these turned out minor, but major accidents can and do happen.

I am always amazed at how many drivers in other countries simply carry on driving when there is an accident. Are there no first aid regulations? If you do that in europe and get caught, you have a case on your hands
