I'm 42 & had my 1st child @age 15, moved out my mom house 2yrs later, after I graduated high school (with honors). When I first started out it was HARD, child dad was in prison & I struggled bad, I'm talking some days wondering how I was feeding my child, but I KNEW all that was temp, bcuz teen mom or not, I was determined to not have mine grow up like their parents, so I did hair to pay bills & took college courses a few days a week (have several degrees now)....anyway (because I'm long winded 🙃). But I mentioned this for a reason I do agree with what you said, but I think each kid is different & we have to treat them accordingly. My daughter (1st born) finished her Master's 2yrs ago, moved to Cali & her dad & I support her 100%.... she said she did college for us (diff convo) & now she want to pursue her dream as an actress.....we told her 5yrs w/100% support & we'll revisit it then. She also got a Lexus for her 16th bday & an upgraded Lexus for her undergrad.... I say all this to show the contrast, my son on the other hand, in his last year of highschool, does not have a car & likely won't have the same level of support. As parents we can see the drive in the girl, she need help, but will hustle if needed, the boy is lazy, and if given the same he'd use those 5yrs of support to floss, deal with women & party. He didn't get a car @16 because we don't feel he's responsible enough. He's too worried about what ppl think & impressing ppl, like many teens..... so yes I get what you're saying 100%, but think there's always a balance & it shouldn't be a broad decision, should be based on that child. Hope this made sense 🤣

While I'm all for it, I think comparing their situation to a regular working class person is a bit unbalance. Yes, if I had the means connections to get my kid with the best one-on-one acting coach, in front of producers, auditions etc all based on my name, then that makes it much easier to say "go work, make ur own, earn enough that'll allow I yo do it on ur own with your FIRST gig". Most don't have that, so that's a pretty unfamiliar comparison, lol
