Seriously? You need to replay it six times over like we missed it the first five times? If we miss something, we can replay it ourselves you know. If this is going to be a nine minute clip with four minutes of replays, I'm outta here!
Even their club players are mouthy, I've clashed with a number of them over the years. They're always friendly in the bar afterwards though. You just have to be thick-skinned and get on with it.
@James Jonathan me neither but there's a difference between basic sledging and getting personal. Implying a batsman doesn't know how to play a bowler isn't the same as saying you're a twat, or your wife is ugly etc. That's personal and I know those comments do happen - that is totally out of order
What kind of ball are they using in the match where wicket keeper is being annoying? That ball is bright red and it sounds different. That ball makes sounds like it is made of plastic.
Sri Lankans have the best track record for being the most decent players in the field. But they also stand for unfair decisions. Like when cptn Arjuna Ranathunga conceded a match after the umpire started harassing muralidaran. And mahela when umpires started giving no balls for decent deliveries. The only cheeky one was kumar Sangakkara. He was very cunning. But still decent. Wouldn't do or say dirty stuff. Whatever the status of their cricket performance wise these days, they still maintain that decency. So a hats off to them.
And that's pretty much why I don't watch or follow cricket anymore. Who wants to follow a sport where verbal abuse is an acceptable tactic and please, don't give me any of that bullshit about how it makes you into a mentally tougher person when what it actually does is make you into a foul mouthed, petty, spiteful bully. Of course the reason nobody complains is because they fear that everyone else involved in the game will howl their protests down and/or hold that person up for ridicule. I've often heard players and commentators finding hilarity in something that was said on the field, but it seems to me that nine times out of ten it wasn't in the least bit funny and there's good reason for that - most ( Australian ) cricketers just aren't naturally funny people. And the proof of that is in the lame nicknames they give each other. Do a bit of a search on the nicknames Australian rugby league players saddle each other with and you'll soon see it's no contest. But what should be of more concern is not how to stop it, but more to find out where it starts, considering how entrenched it is in the game. Are there really coaches and parents of cricket playing kids who tell their child to tell the opposition batsman that his mother is a whore or worse? I hope not, but it has to start somewhere and if some of the things that have come out of the debacle in South Africa recently are any indication, these days wives and family members are fair(?) game as well. If a player gets the better of an opposition player by verbally attacking the character or the morals or the appearance of a person who isn't even there at the time, they have no right to think they're a winner because of it , when what would be closer to the truth is they are just nutless, gutless cowards who probably wouldn't have the courage to repeat those things away from a cricket field. And before someone howls my little rant down, consider this: Would you be willing to put up with that sort of treatment in your workplace? I doubt it very much.
Seriously I thought he's going to repeat 'oh u fcking bastard' throughout the whole 9 minutes 😂 I have to say though Australians have a big problem in sportsmanship.
How many people here triggered by Symonds? They don't realise he's not calling the batsman that it was an exclamation of pain. I've hit my finger with a hammer before and done the same thing. It's an Australian thing.
But India does this kind of behavior then everyone criticize them or just took their 'Gentlemen Cricket' speech ! When Virat sledge these Australians then whole Aussie Media critize him , even Indians also troll him .... What a Hipocracy .. When Aussie does then it's fun When Indian does then it's arrogant
I would have turned around and told him if he doesn't shut up i'll swing the bat at his fucking head. I did that in a Grade game when this shit happened.
Julian Collins haha stfu salty.... they are doing exactly what every other team does, only difference is Australians doesn’t cry about the other teams..
Kapila Nawaratne biggest load of bullshit I ever heard. We have been playing the game with England longer than any other country. Sub con need to turn off their ears. Pussys
