Talat saab was really great His voice and songs were divine The most memorable event in my life was meeting him in Dec 72 to invite him for mood indigo event of iit mumbai. I spent 1 hour with him at his res in Bandra I will never forget every moment of that meeting He came to our campus and sang for 2 hours It was the best treat Prakash Samudra

The great king of Ghazal Talat Mahmood songs has been indelible in the minds of his fans all over the world. The beautiful silky melodious voice has captured millions of hearts and even today if anyone hears or listens he is taken back to the golden era of Bollywood when there were great stalwarts in music, directors like Naushad saab, Anil Biswas, Husanlal Bhagatram, lyrics of Shakeel Badayauin, Hasrat Jaipuri ,Rajinder Kishan and producers like AR Kardar and Mehbook Khan. The beauty was that acress like Noor Jehan Suraiya and Umadevi used to sing themselves.and no playback singers were there for them. Importantantly the songs sung by Mukesh for Raj kapoor, Talat for Dilip kumar matched exactly. Todays song we hear today and forget tomorrow. The old songs are still remembered and it will remain evergreen. That is why it is called Old is Gold.Thank you for uploading this songs.

Talat saab defined a generation where actors and signers had talent. They were grounded in their skill sets. I cannot say the same about the fools of today who are leading the Indian entertainment industry. All Indian singers, both past and present aspire to reach Talat saab and Rafi saab's talents. Lets not forget them. Let us all struggle against a concerted effort by the mainstream media to have them forgotten.

When he was alive he also sufferd from the hands of the rogues in Bollywood just as Shusant.He was boycotted because he w to anybody.He should have had more songs to his name.He was a free spirit and didn't crawl on his hands and knees for favours.It is about time the Union Government regulate this corrupt industry which has pushed so many rising stars to an early deaths!

I use to sit beside my parents whenever during those days they opened their Gramaphone & put records of Talat Sahib, I really admired it and now I feel that both my Mother & Father sitting with me admiring his songs feel like I can never hear such voice in the days to come ever.
