Tariq has always been smart this was said by both of his parents Tommy Dre and Kanan the thing in Power was... he was young and mid teen in so he was green to a lot specifically the game that was until Kanan twisted up his mind and corrupted him into the life which had Tariq constantly making moves out of his emotions which usually made messes on top of messes and he didn't learn no matter how bad the consequences were because he spiraled out of control he was so angry and hurt towards his father he drowned in that negativity and that's why he made a lot of wild moves choices and decisions that mostly always backfired on not only himself but his family too... moving forward to book 2 he is no longer that emotional teen he learned to think first and plan ahead later he also learned to have more than 1 plan because nothing in this world usually goes as planned ... Power Tariq was young and immature while Book 2 Tariq has matured a lot he understands things more he learns his lessons more and he overall he doesn't lash out anymore he now makes the moves the best way he can with age comes maturity.
