El Teide is so amazing. I was there late September 2019. I can't wait to return and explore everything there is to see there. I love Tenerife. It's la Isla of my ancestors and I was fortunate to meet some distant cousins that live there. Thank you for this video.
Hi Guys, Great video. Please could you tell us where exactly in the harbour (name or location of business) you hired the boat from in Los Gigantes? We are currently there right now. Thank you
Hi Robin, tell me please, of I need to have license to rent a boat ? Because I have a big experience of driving the boat like this, but in Ukraine, where I am from, we don’t need this license, so I don’t have it. What do you think, if it’s possible to rent it without license?
Hey! @travel Ons first of all, thank you so much for this video. I love when people get off the road ALWAYS taken and do their own thing. I had a question about visiting Teide at night: did you go as part of a tour or just drive up on your own? What would you recomend?
What a lovely comment and great question :) We went up by ourselves in our rental car. We were alone in the dark and the night sky was amazing! We never went up to the top, but I imaging the night sky being even cooler there. But then you need to go with a guide or a group.
Hi Robin, thanks so much for the fantastic video - we're travelling to Tenerife tomorrow and will definitely check most of these places out! I got my RYA LV2 boat license and was wondering if you had any more details on the best place to rent a small boat around Los Gigantes? Thanks a lot!
Glad you liked the video :) Congratulations on the boat license, the boat rental in Los Gigantes was a highlight - such a cool place! We rented our boat in the harbour, the service was great so I recommend it. I know that there are several places in town where you can rent a boat, but I don't know if they are better or worse. I recommend that you talk or call the companies in advance and ask for price info. Good luck on your adventure!
Thanks man! We went in the end of July 2019. I would say the ocean was warm enough to swim without a wetsuit. But if you are going to stay in the water for longer periods, it's better to have a wetsuit. I think it was between 20-22°C. Now it's below 20°C, but in September it can be up to 23-24°C :)
Hey! Great video! Do you by any chance remember the boat hire company from Los Gigantes? Are there many boat hire companies available in the village and also, are snorkel gear available to hire as well?
Thank you! :) Glad you liked the video! The company we used was MPC Yacht Charter (Mojo Picon Yacht). Since we had our own gear, we didn't ask if it was possible to rent gear from the company. But I would guess that it's possible :) You should ask around. We went to Los Gigantes without planning and took the company that looked best. Hehe Good luck with your adventures! If you have any more questions I'll gladly help you out
En Punta de las salinas, it is difficult the access to the water due to the rocks? And have we have to have special care for not harming our feet? I see that you are going barefoot at the video but I wanted to ask anyway. Thank you!
How long was they hike from Las Vueltas? Were going in a few months and this video has changed my idea on what we were doing on our holiday. Was going to be a cheap beer and beach holiday, but after seeing the views will be taking a leaf out of your books and exploring for sure Also, how much was that boat hire?
Glad you like the video and that I inspired you :) The hike from Las Vueltas was not that long. 1-2 hours. It depends on which way you take and how fast you hike. Regarding boat hire, I think we paid 300€ for 5 hours. But it all depends on what boat you rent. If you don't want to drive yourselves, you can go on a boat trip with a skipper. You'll actually pay less, but you will also have less freedom ;) Good luck on your travels!
