Even though pendlebury and selwood haven’t dominated individual seasons to win a brownlow, they are the two best players of the decade because of consistency. They have been sensational every single season this decade whereas stars like Martin dominated 2016-19. Or ablet 2010-14. Etc. All stars but the consistency of pendlebury and selwood is next level in my opinion.
@@tedcuthbertson9862 yeah id somewhat agree. still feel like pendlebury and selwood were slightly better but i can definitely see an argument for mitchell to be included with those two. Hodge has a case too
@@GuysOfFilm Nah look at how he brings his arm over with a clenched fist. When do you ever bring your arm over, let alone balled-up when you're performing a hip and shoulder.
@@Hello-qd3uy gonna be honest, I didn't see that happen when I first watched. You make a good point. Luckily he made absolutely no contact whatsoever with anything important, I suppose
Look my top 3 would easily have to be dangerwoodlett. Not just for the obvious reason that I’m a cats supporter, but the way the three of them play is absaloute gold 🤩 they are also the only three that have been dominant in just about every year since 2010. (Minus gaz with his shoulder in 2014-15) but even then, he would have won a 3rd Brownlow in 2014 if he had played an extra few games.
Even though it’s technically not an official decade , i feel these videos would be better off every 5 years . 2005-2015 would of been way more interesting.
matthew mills just buy them off the afl website bro. Because the stadiums can fit so many people they aren’t overly expensive. If you’re happy with far away average seats it wouldn’t set you back more than $30 aud.
- HobbiT - yeah getting knocked on the head and still getting the handball out and then getting back straight to his feat and running to the 50 yeah he carried on
@Sebby Mirenda Really ?! Yes, he had the GREATEST individual season by 1 player EVER (as told by arguably the greatest player ever, Leigh Matthews). But even if you took 2017 away, Dustin has still had a phenomenal career. Just check all of his finals / marquee games, he’s always in the top handful of players if not BOG. MASSIVE BIG GAME PLAYER....... and he’s not done yet ! 😉
@@carletonclements4931 You keep saying overrated. Who has been a solid defender for 6 years like he has? Every other defender has had their good 3 or so years but haven't had the consistency that Rance has.
As A Richmond Supporter I Want To Say Dusty And I Love Him And Want To Say He Is The Greatest But Lance Franklin Is The Greatest Player I Have Ever Seen He Just Turns Games On His Head And All The Unbelievable Goals He’s Kicked I Love Watching Him Do The Amazing Things Few Can Do
@@carletonclements4931 I'm no Richmond supporter, but Rance is the best defender of the decade. You couldn't possibly believe he is the most over rated player of all time.
Wait how is there no swan ? Seriously but you include rance ? I'm confused if you're looking for another defender then why not heath shaw ? He was by far the best defender in the last decade.
@@gettrolledranga7525 he won 2 Coleman medals in a row + a lot of 10,11,12 goal games. I dont see how how he is "trash." Maybe I'm a bias eagles fan but maybe ur just someone who doesn't like players if they aren't from ur team .-.
@@becc5501 Kennedy is a great player as are many others who missed out. The only problem is who comes out of this list to make way for him? I feel like the common answer would be Rance but even then its tough since hes been the best defender this decade.
You should do a “best songs this decade” or a “best movies this decade” on your channel man, instead of just doing AFL. Keep up the good content though!
So many players who should of been on here. Cyril, and swan to name a few. As a tigers supporter seeing the news about dance today absolutely shattered me.
Carleton Clements he was one of the greatest defenders If not the greatest for the last 5-6 years, he’s helped Richmond to a premiership and has lead a backline of young players and developed them into amazing players and it’s the reason the tigers are one of the best teams in the afl
cant tell if youre joking. you cant honestly think he competes with these guys. especially not for the course of the decade as hes only been decent since 2015
@Nicholas Adams what are you on about? I was saying the top 10 from 2010, all the way to the top 10 of 2019 🤦♂️ Clearly you're the one without an idea of what I was meaning.
I don't think it was in any particular order, also selwood is not as good as half the players on this list nor has he achieved as much. Look as far as his two teammates ablett and danger, both much better players who have won way more awards.
@@sarcasticgenius8563 Selwood has 3 Premiership medallions and Dangerfield has 0. I'm sure Danger would rather have 1 Premiership medal than a Brownlow. So I would say Selwood has achieved more. Players want team success, not individual honours. If Danger doesn't get his flag, I know who's gonna look back on their career with greater satisfaction.
Another grammatical error here, it’s “you guys are the best”, as using the term “you’re” is always singular, and you’re talking to a bunch of people. Therefore, it’s “you guys”.
Good list but wheres Swanny? :( Better player than the majority in this list at his peak (Hodge, Martin, Dangerfield, Rance, Pendles, Selwood, Mitchell, NOT better than Fyfe, Ablett or Franklin though), 4* all australian in this decade, brownlow medallist and premiership player. What a star! (he didn't play for 4 of the ten years in this decade though, but he was just so good from 2010-2013, top 5 in the comp and the best in the comp for 2 of those years, 2010 and 2011). Hard to say who would come out though. P.S. I'm so glad Pendles made it in here however. 6 times all australian Scott "The Matrix" Pendlebury. :)
you're joking right? Dane swan won the brownlow and was a premiership player... I wonder who else was a premier ship player. hmm? Dusty 2 time premier and 2 time norm smith so swanny isn't better than dusty
