Given that he's ridden more than one bike 'his entire life'', this seems HIGHLY unlikely. Does he swap his 'original' tire on to any new bike? Would he elect to forgo any change in compound and ply fabrication given technological refinements. Does he ignore that tires become less complaint and tractive with age? Given the sheer number of miles he rides, and given he runs VERY low tire pressures, the front would wear out just riding those miles on smooth, paved streets. Lacking any citation of a source for such a wild claim, I deem it just wishful thinking.

Bou's performances are astonishing. While the manmade courses are impressive, I find the most esthetically pure performance to be those just running through a steep, natural boulder field, where he is free to chart his own path (such as his section starting at 13:52)
