Silky was bothered during the entire season that Yvie had so much confidence in her self. It took all stars I think for her to understand what Yvie had in season 11.
@@eaglethornton for sure, honestly a lot of queens who were initially very envious on their season left and came back to all stars as more developed queens. i didn’t like silky on season 11 but she warmed up to me over time as i saw more of her after that season

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but Yvie's final lipsync to Edge of Glory is legitimately the only performance on the show that still gives me litral chills every time I watch it. So powerful. I am so, SO excited to see her on TV again :)
tbh only s11 with yvie and brook and s9 with sasha and peppermint finale lipsync delivered. and both of those are in my top 5 favorite lipsyncs in the whole drag race franchise
I also have EDS, I can contort like her and it took me until she was on screen to find out what it was and got it diagnosed by a professional. So Yvie has helped me on a personal level. I was really happy she won.

Her AS7 promo, entrance, and press week outfits and makeup were fantastic. If that's a taste of what she brings to the runway for AS7, then we're all in for a treat! Plus, the other winners raved about her runways and makeup in that EW interview.

im glad yvie wound up winning season 11 because in my head she was the strongest among the top 4 in spite of the single win. she should have tallied at least 3 wins on season 11.
100% agree! She shouldve won the ball over plastique imho and was by far the best in the rumix which could have had a winner (in the same way S12 and S14 had winners for that top 5 challenge)
I feel like she was too likable, talented and had the girls clearly bully her. Also with her story regarding her health condition, production and the show would've gotten SOOO much backlash for giving her the villain edit
She deff was a villain, producers just never allowed her to be perceived that way too much over the likes of ra’jah or silky. Yvie always started with the girls she just had the talent to back up her stuff

Yvie Oddly is my absolute favorite winner of Drag Race! She brought something new and provocative to the show. Plus, she deals with a painful chronic disability and she’s still amazing. Odd Bless. 👑🖤 Willow Pill is my other favorite for all the same reasons. 💊👑🖤

there is something about the way in which she lip syncs the song that makes you feel truly how much she really wanted it. im an emotional person so it literally brought me tears the first couple times i watched it. it made me fall in love w her and her drag ! i absolutely adore this queen
Yvie should have won at least 3 challenges on season 11!!! Definitely the Rusical and the very last challenge before the finale. Rooting for her to SLAY the runways and challenges on the new All Winners season 😍❤️
Agreed! It’s funny how in some seasons they consider the last challenge a win but in others they don’t. For example, when Lady Candem got her third win right before the finale but Yvie didn’t

Very clever of her to subvert her usual contortionist performances by getting in touch with the 'spirit' of the song and playing it straight for a change. It showed her versatility as a performer, and her vulnerability as a person. One of my favourite lip syncs. Latrice's Aretha is still the best, though my girlfriend and I haven't finished season 11, 12, or any of the all stars seasons, so they might have some surprises for us.

Yvie is definitely one of my favorite winners and favorite queens in general 💕 Her refusing to sacrifice her individuality for other people and embracing what makes her so unique is really inspiring. I also have the same disease and it’s so nice to feel able to relate to someone I admire so much on that level, knowing what she goes through just makes her so much more relatable and makes it even more exciting to see her accomplish so much 💕

Queens like Adore, Nina Bonina, Sasha and Yvie are what makes drag more interesting. I live for queens that scream surrealism and uniqueness other than wearing a dress and looking like a fairytale princess. Drag today comes in all forms and screw anyone who said they didn't belong, especially Yvie. Own that you're a lil freaky and you know how to do it well.
That last battle for the crown is definitely gonna live rent free in my mind beside Chi Chi’s pearls and Sasha’s rose petals. The head piece was stunning, and it’s actually not even the back-bend that earns my favorite part; it’s the three twirls right afterwards. There’s something magical about that moment and it looks like she didn’t even intend it, she was just so lost in the moment. Definitely a well deserved win off that battle alone imo.
19:31 that honestly felt like when she won the season. That spinning effect with the face on the back alternating with her own face was so cool. Also it was timed super well with the song having that swelling cymbal sound.
I love Yvie so much. She's celebrated now, as she SHOULD BE, but carrying her style of drag and having to deal with a rare, painful health condition certainly wasn't easy and took a lot of nerve. Even among drag queens, even in the most alternative scenes. So I respect and admire her so much for embrancing her truth without losing track of the needed wisdom to recognize her own flaws and work them out. A very deserving winner. Plus, 21:03 is SO iconic.
Yvie won for her runways. Every episode she would bring something so amazing, I wanted to see what comes next. It's a level of creativity that I haven't seen since Kim Chi. The Jellyfish drag was definitely the best.

Yvie is a prime example on how you don’t need to win multiple challenges to win the whole thing. If you serve insane, thoughtful, and unique looks with a great personality then you got it in the bag. Which is why other girls in past seasons haven’t won it, they ain’t as lovable and unique as Yvie
That's the most amazing Queen I have ever ever seen. Her vibe and extraordinary body put her at the top of the league. But more than that I sense a real multidisciplinary artist here. A rare being. My wish is for to go to art school and really cultivate her gifts.

I wish they had shown clips of the Livin' La Vida Loca lip sync. Too bad Yvie was the first lip sync assassin on AS5 because that season was so forgettable, and the lip sync assassin twist didn't live up to the hype on AS5 with a few exceptions. People don't talk about this performance because the season overall was so boring.
Yvie won the rumix challenge in the last competing challenge but they didn’t gave any win for that back then… just like Aquaria won the American remix in season ten, it was until season 12 when Gigi won the rumix that they started to give wins for the last challenge, it should’ve been always that way. I love me some Yvie
hey rpdr please make sure to make this season accessible for our disabled queens! I was super disappointed with what willow pill had to put up with in her season and with how open both willow and yvie have been about their disabilities, equal access is the least you can do
By far my most favourite queen in all the seasons I’ve watched, their style is actually what inspired me to express myself and draw and wear what I want. Before I had no real art style despite liking it, but know I’ve found it and it is just creepy, unusual and messy. Will always thank Evie for that ❤
I truly love Brooke Lynn, but the finale lip sync looks like an artist performing (Yvie) and a backup dancer (Brooke) it was all the stunts and a (in comparison to Yvie's) simple outfit, and a more "meaningful" choreography with a complex outfit
I had no idea Yvie had EDS! I know their pain because I have it as well. By the age of five, the doctors had to teach me how to pop my elbows back into place myself. It’s that constant.
