I have always been a fan of the MvC games. And Zero has always been one of my favorite characters. I am unable to pull of these insane combos, either the problems I have with memory cause me to slip up and forget the pattern, or I mess up the timing when I do remember. It is a horrible cycle. Doesnt stop me from playing though!
Adonius Smith nah... I can do combos WITH lightning loops BUT NOT spamming them. I knew since the beginning i started playing Zero that other players would only use lightning loops, but i created my own with less lightning loops. Not all of them are like "ooh i touched you, you're dead" no, some are but most of them are not
Well, if you can do atleast 5, then much credit. People only think lightning loops are one trick and cheap because 1) they only see pro gameplay 2) can't do it for shit 3) been wrecked by a player good enough to loop
Im surprised you didnt put the match of nolife winning against flux in a 0-2 comeback, ending in a pixel comeback with his lil brother popping off on the player cam. In unbelievable fashion
kinda weird how zero is the best character in the game but not too many top plays play him, its different from mvc2 where pretty much all of them play MSP or something with sentinel
Its becuz zero has to be played with specific assist(jam session or striders vajra) to be have his true potential. And being forced to play dante or strider isnt good cuz those characters do very little damage(dante has massive damage scaling and strider is useless if he doesnt have X factor)
Meanwhile most other characters can be played with dr doom(the default generic assist/slot number 2 member) so its just easier. Doom does a lot of damage with his foot dive combos, his damage scaling is no where near as bad as dante’s and he still pulls his weight if u waste your x factor and its just doom by himself with no resources(no meter/no x factor) and doom could still win.

Okay, Marvel characters have made a huge mistake on making fun of Zero... Also, WHAT!? HOW!? I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH AN INSANE 0 TO DEATH PLAY BY A ZERO PLAYER, THAT'S FAR MORE THAN INSANE IF YOU ASK ME!
Because there are equally as hard characters to fight that are ALSO easier to play. Vergil, Dr. Doom, Phoenix (not Wright), Morrigan, Dormammu.... Zero takes a bit more mechanical skill than these fellas that see common high level play.
It's basically, who can cheese the other player better... Not even entertaining to watch. That's why these "amazing plays" are happening and the commentators don't change a speck in tone.
The first clip was the most uninteresting thing anyone could ever show me if they wanted to sell me a game. Are one touch deaths like that a kinda~ regular thing in umvc3? The game is beautiful and really fun but things like that are just sad-boring to watch.
The thing with MVC3, well MVC in general, is that(most) all the characters are jacked and can pull devastating combos. it's actually pretty fun if you know how to play and even casually. I'm playing it while I'm waiting for smash bros, but I think I like it more than smash.
That's just a matter of you not understanding the game nor the amount of effort required to do these things. EDIT: Yes granted this is an old comment so I hope you matured a bit out of the onlook.
@@SeanTheShinigami holy shit bro chill out haha. Yeah I've somewhat changed my opinion since then, I can respect the effort in these things; still not much of a fan of playing ToD games (like Battle for the Grid and stuff) as cool as they are to watch.
@@jayviermendiola No, actually i've never ever played this game. Just watch youtube videos. I only see combos are all you need in this game, other aspects're not really usefull compare to other arcade games. Just 1 combo of this game and the opponent could be killed immediately. That's why i said lame, unbalanced .
@@123hyouretsuzan5 well if you've played it, you'll die on a journey learning the way these top tier players fling the joysticks and perfect timing with the hit boxes and time frames. Play it, then place your judgement. Refusal only means I've no means to educate you further on the knowledge of the gameplay. And I'm not roasting you, I don't want you embarrassing yourself in front of your friends or family with opinions where you haven't gone through certain experiences yet.
@@jayviermendiola hey dude, i used to play arcade games. I'm even good at some of them and ofcourse i know things you said about top tier, perfect timing, bla, bla,... Combos actually need a little bit of time learning and nothing else, these combos i guess can't be as hard as Devil may cry combos, if so it's not too hard to practice. great arcade games need more than that. Plus, too much combo makes the way this game played turns to lame : all you need is to attack the first hit successfully, then combo and > 90% posibility that your opponent dies because combos of this game are too strong -> he changes character but ofcourse you have been waiting for him to do it, you set up traps -> he got hit, you combo again, repeat to end, silly enough. You got only 1 or 2 hit and you may lose in a predictable way with no chances to fix. The problem is that getting hits first sometimes is just a matter of bad-luckiness even with pro players. In almost all other arcade games, combos that strong need things such as pow to perform, that means you have to get some hits first to become stronger, or you need to attack successfully several times first to earn power, 100% death combos are baned in those games because it's often performed by bugs. But this game doesn't need that to combo and doesn't ban 100% death combo i guess. Unbalaned between combo and other elements.
