man exactly, whenever i joined random cell farm, ppl be bragging about how they get 25+ cells in 30mins, like do they really?? I can't even get 4+ in 10 minutes playing survival (camping only)
If you run a survival run around the map and open all the containers. Then leave once everything has been opened. Usually takes like 10 minutes and you'll get ~7 cells. You can camp after but it's usually less fun/rewarding than resetting. You can do the same thing on the Sargus map + get the boss drop rng & the map gets cleared faster.
would bringing a limbo with max range be quicker? so u can break as many cells as quickly as possible instead of going around the map individually breaking each cell array.
Yeah that'd probably be fast. I usually just run around ground slamming. You still need to walk in to ground slam range to grab the stuff but Limbo (Revenant and Xaku) would reduce the amount of actions required to loot.
If you use the nataruk you can damage his hitspots after the armor closes back on them and sometimes even skip his 3rd phase if you get lucky. It's only happened twice for me but i think it has something to do with his hitboxes spawning. Also run xaku with max range and efficiency to easily box clear
I have tried it in the past with that same logic and it didn't feel as consistent to me. The Sargus hallways are easier to loot while running though + Sargus drops cells more often in my experience. Sargus feels close to 90% after having done it hundreds of times.
Bruh I got 10 in like 15 minutes. Insane thanks man. I thought survival farming on ceres with 35% bonus loot drop was the way to go but this without the extra drop chance, is way faster. Wtf
Glad it helped. If you clear the map and open all the containers (like you would on Gabii) it's even better; it's tough to do that with randoms though since most people sprint to Sargus. The boss drop rng feeling like 80% o.cell is why I always go here when I need them.
@@PickedaName_ yeah idk I feel there’s always an orokin cell deposit in the boss area, so trying to open all chests and open all rooms actually wastes time I feel, when you could use that time running the boss again
@@SaltyJuan I get double the cells most runs when I'm with a group that wants to clear the map. But there are runs where we waste time. I think you're right about the boss room itself having a cell most of the time. Whether it's from Sargus or an enemy or a crate in that room there's usually a drop in there, but not always.
If you haven't unlocked Saturn then Gabii on Ceres or another survival mission on Ceres/Deimos is the next best option. Run around opening all containers, then leave when there's nothing left to open. Basically the same as what I'm doing in the Saturn assassination without the increased drop chance from defeating Sargus.
Isnt levitan from deimos guaranteed to drop orokin? Just farmed him for a while and it looked consitent to drop every time i killed them. Tho kinda time consuming considering i was mr5 at the time i farmer him last
I'm very inexperienced with that mission. That's the spooky assassination with the bombs of light iirc. It might be a decent O.cells mission for people who haven't reached Saturn or Ceres yet but idk.
If you meant Lephantis then that's actually kind of decent apparently because each head + its body has a chance to drop O.Cells or Neurodes. 4 drop chances from 1 enemy but it's not guaranteed to be O.Cells every time. I checked the wiki trying to find Levitan.
This is still not even the best spot for pure drop without breaking things, in this way you drop orokin cell from bosses, each boss can drop some, so just go to EXTA in CERES, by far the best map with 2 bosses you can find, if you know how to kill each boss you will make runs of about 1 minute with a wukong (the cloud dont break stuf along the way, sadly) or half that with a Titania if you just boss rush.
It may not be obvious in the video but you should be opening all containers while elimanting the enemies you come across. Clearing the map with a premade group basically guarantees 4-6 cells in ~5min. I think interception missions are good for argon? Pretty sure I got most of mine from that while farming relics. If not then run around a sabotage or survival and open all containers.
best farm is gabii on ceres on sp. bring a smeeta, nekros and khora and only pickup when you have the resource buff. you also get a pretty good amount of steel essence this way. when you get the smeeta buff don't pickup straight away, wait until 21 seconds or below because you could get a double buff giving you four cells from one pickup without nekros, khora or boosters. during the current event booster + a normal booster you can get 16 cells per pickup without khora or nekros fairly consistently as you will get a double buff around every 8 minutes with tek enhance, and only bows and melee equipped (this removes the reload buff from the pool allowing the resource buff to trigger more often). assuming a rate of 0.5 cell drops per minute and that none of these are affected by nekros or khora (which would be very unlucky) you'll be getting 120 cells per hour without boosters, 240 during this resource event and 480 during the event + booster
You're comparing a group task to something I did solo with randoms. I got 52 without clearing the entire map each run. When we did clear the map we were getting 8-12 every 4-5min run. When I ran SP Gabii 1 random joined, died asap, then left. I found more cells running regular Gabii with a drop booster than I did running SP Gabii with both boosters. Fuck your tight rope smeeta strats that require a group and specific frames (edit: and load out. Bow only, 2 frames, gotta use specific kavat, avoid pickups, get a random buff, avoid pickups until last possible moment to potentially get a double buff, hope this lines up every 8 minutes... You're assuming half a cell drops every minute, which doesn't happen, and your numbers rely on quadrupling drops every 8 minutes. The SP defense I ran in this video was the infested defense, it has the same drop rate as Gabii, 2 cells dropped in 30min. Cells drop from Sargus more consistently than containers, and cells drop from containers more consistently than random enemies. Sargus + containers is the best orokin cell farm. It's so good that nothing is required other than running the mission and opening containers.)
@@PickedaName_ 2 cells drops in 30 minutes is incredibly unlucky and what likely happened is that they despawned or you simply weren't killing enough enemies. Also don't run it in pubs, use the recruit chat for specific frames to optimize everything and you mentioned that a random died and left which wouldn't be happening often in recruit and having someone leave hurts the farm a lot because not only do you lose out on that frames utility and boosts but you also get less enemy spawns and therefore less kills and less cells. It is the single best cell farm in the game but requires a little bit of effort to set it up. My method relies on quadrupling every 8 minutes because that is the average time it will take for a quadruple buff to proc. If you are getting more cells on base star chart than steel path that it simply because you were not killing enough enemies. steel path has more enemy spawns and a higher drop chance per enemy. Also there is literally no reason to use anything but a smeeta when farming, bows are incredibly strong and perfectly capable just bring a nataruk or bramma and you're sorted. I'm not sure why you even mentioned defense tbh, it is a completely separate gamemode with a much lower enemy density than survival. Your farm works fine but it is just simply false to call it the best farm in the game. It may be fine for you but it is by far not the most efficient. Also your way only gives cells whereas on sp gabii you can farm steel essence and riven slivers simultaneously. Also 52 cells an hour is not a good rate. I ran gabii for an hour with a single booster active and got around 350 cells which means that assuming you had no boosters gabii was over 3x more efficient while also giving steel essence and riven slivers. SP gabii requires more setup and a tiny bit of skill but it is by far the best orokin cell farm in the game at the moment
@@dippydingleduck Sargus averages 1 cell a minute consistently. It's 1 cell every 3min at worst. I got 52 cells running the mission suboptimally. I used kuva tonkor on SP Gabii, every time I shot at a wave it died. The fact that I can run Gabii and see fewer cells than I would if I ran Sargus makes Sargus better. It is consistent, it is quick, it has no requirements. Every time I join a o.cell group I am disappointed by the acquisition rate (with a full Pilfering/Desecrate team) and run Sargus after the group disbands. Sargus always gets more than what I got with the group, and it does it faster.
@@PickedaName_ that's cool if it works for you but idk why your drop rate is low on gabii unless you're not killing enough. I usually run a bramma or nataruk that I don't even use but get the smeeta buff from and then spam exodia contagion. Also a speedva helps with kill rate. The place that you camp at matters too as well as where your teammates are. If you are all together spawn rates are much better and you should try to find a tile where it's adjacent rooms are small so that enemies that spawn in die quicker than if they were to spawn far away. I usually look for that weird circular tile with the platform in the middle and have two khoras, a nekros and a speedva. The khoras place strangledomes at the bottom of each side and then spam contagion or any other high damage aoe into it but I just use contagion so I can run a bow.
@Mrergaldino you will use way more than 200 cells if you plan on getting to high Mr or getting most prime stuff, even just crafting one forma per day will run you 30 cells in a month. I want saying that sargus is bad it's just not the most efficient. 30 cells is equivalent to like 3-6 primes. I get that some people may not want to put an ounce of thought into their farming and that's fine but don't label it as 'the best orokin cell farm' when it's not even close
Should be. I haven't had to run it in awhile but people say it's still good. Break as many containers as you can + Sargus drops a cell ~80%. The most I've found in a 5 min run was 7 (14 boosted) with a group that wanted to break all containers instead of rush the boss room. Xaku is a great frame to break open containers quickly, Limbo is good to.
I check their Reddit periodically for info. I occasionally watch Hal on Twitch. Dyrus and Firedragon play random games but I watch them play Apex whenever they do. Firedragon uses 6 curve with high deadzone on PS4 and PS5 controllers.
I might go there for Neurodes. I don't have a go to spot for those and the Deimos bosses can drop Neurodes & Orokin Cells. Lephantis have 4 drop chances sounds good.
I just ran this with a friend thinking this was patched out until seeing the video. Ran it 40 times, not a single Orokin Cell drop from Ruk himself with boosters active.
How many cells you get in those 40 attempts? Even if a cell doesn't drop from Ruk I get cells from containers and enemies. I got blessed with a 2x booster the other day and ran this a few times; I'm still getting 1 cell per minute on extraction. (edit: 2 cells per minute with booster. I just focus on how many actually dropped.)
@@PickedaName_ I got maybe one Cell from a container and one from an enemy out of all of those 40 attempts, but like I said none from Ruk himself. I remembered running this thing really often years ago and it worked maybe 80-20 of the time but either my luck has ran dry or it got patched out like the Orokin drops from Hyena enemies in Razorback missions. Admittedly I already have over 2k Cells but I was trying to help a friend of mine with the drop chance booster that I was running but barely any luck.
@@Kernowparadise if the drop rate isn't close to feeling like ~80-20 then Kullervo would be when it happened. I've run Ruk maybe 5x this patch but don't remember where cells dropped. I break every crate (and kill every enemy) I run past but don't go down every side path unless the other people are looking for cells also.
Ehh . I didn't run SP but most of the drops on Gabii came from containers; saw 1 cell array. I had 7 at min10 and got 2 from the waves of ancients in the final 10min. Used Nekros with a drop chance booster. I can run regular Sargas with a team that wants to open all crates and get the same amount in 5min. I was getting 8-12 every 4-5min run (both boosters) when I had a team opening every container. Plus there's no build requirements, anyone can run Sargas, Steel Path restricts what people can do.
@@sp4rklsz "I can't imagine running the same mission for 1 hour" . That's exactly why I prefer this assassination over survival. I can go do something different every 3 minutes and not feel obligated to stay in an endless mission with a full group. It can be run like an optimal survival (open all containers) and has a definitive end that typically results in an additional orokin cell.
Just ran SP Gabii solo for 10min. Both boosters, opened all containers, got 6 cells total from those containers, nothing from enemies. Literally worse than when I ran the mission w/o boosters on normal difficulty. I got 7 from containers with just drop chance on mormal Gabii.
