*axe 2.0* “this is the best gun ever made” *mini gs* *literally the same fun just two inches smaller* “this gun is fuckign terrible and you should never buy it”
About the Etha I’m not arguing with your choice but I did watch a review on a Etha 2 because I might buy one and there was a review on the Etha where a guy shot the gun with 2 pods and then covered it in said the submerged it in water and it still worked after.
cause it's a staple in the paintball industry and the most durable gun there is you can run it over with a monster truck and it won't break if u hold the etha wrong it will fall apart
@@michaelboustead8189 no shit, but the tippman is a rental gun and the etha 2 is the best starter tournament gun. Other than jokes, which one would you actually use?
@@HalfbreedTrini I don't know why other mechanical guns weren't included here because there are some other good ones too, and I think that the Cronus is way better than the 98 because of it's ergonomics and lighter weight.
Its a mix of how reliable the 98 is and how inexpensive, almost every person has used a 98 at some point but the etha is just not as good as other guns at that price point, those are just reasons why maybe they chose it i still think the etha is better
They are favouring and voting for markers that they personally own and use on a regular basis. You are getting a subjective opinion rather than a non biased comparison.
what the f*** am I watching what the f*** am I watching like what the f*** we've all use the Tippmann but other than the price and the fact that you don't have to maintenance very often how the f*** is an Etha 2 less than the 98 I'd rather spend the extra $300 and I have a gun I can use on all types of scenario that can benefit me then a gun that once I walk off of woods ball field is going to f****** over when I go play speedball and I played speedball with a f****** 98 because my luck's went down and I did have fun but Jesus Christ I had to shake the living s*** out of it and I don't want to go back to when I was 9 years old 20 years ago playing the way I used to I like a little dignity
Having owned a 98 and having to use a Etha 2 when last year when my wife's gun went down and I gave her mine. The Etha 2 is a decent gun but it is not as good as the 98. The 98 has less things to go wrong with it, easier to maintain, more durable, more customizable. Not to mention that the 98 is just overall more sturdy.
Yeah that makes no sense, the Etha 2 was built to be as rugged as a rental gun and it still keeps you competitive in speed ball, it’s not a very fair comparison because the 98 is a fantastic gun but it’s marketed toward people who are either beginning or who strictly play woodsball/scenario
There is a video of the Etha 2 getting chucked 25 feet in the air, getting picked up, and still shooting. That thing is amazing. How TF did a 98 custom beat an etha 2. What a joke.
Yo, I've paint-balled for like 12yrs, that 98 custom has always kept its price. ; P EDIT: and though I have electronic markers. its the AK of paintball.
You really have to love the 98 custom for the ergonomics and the feel of the ergonomics. I mean the barrel is right there with the ergonomics of the grip and the ergonomics of the asa. Let’s be real the ergonomics of the ergonomics are amazing. Oh and did I mention the ergonomics are perfect?!... it’s basically a LUX ICE with the ergonomics of the voice in ur head...
Why is your boy advertising porn.. my son was watching this saw the ask me how to make $100 and looked up Brazzers.. thanks alot for that... appreciate that conversation with my 9 yr old.
All these the etha should have one comments are cracking me up. Gtek vs Axe 2.0. I'm siding with the Gtek as I have owned two of them and while they weren't my favorite by any means I never had to do any work on them beside routine maintenance. I have had to work on a couple of different Axes. The only model of Axe I have never had to work on is the Axe Pro which is hands down better than the Axe 2.0. 98 vs Etha 2. They got that one right. Built sturdy, way easier to maintain, the ability to be mechanical or upgraded to electronic. You can customize the look of the 98. Not to mention that the 98 will run off co2 or hpa, while the Etha needs HPA. If something ever does go wrong the 98 is easier to work on as far as replacing stuff. Overall I just hated the feel of the Etha 2 with how thick the grips were and how it kind of felt cheaply made for lack of a better word. Rize Maxxed vs the Mini GS. My wife's first gun was a Rize Maxxed and I am going with the Mini GS over the Rize Maxxed. The Maxxed eats batteries. Our local field pushes these for the low end electronic markers. Out of the 5 that come to the field all of them have a problem draining the batteries if left in the gun even when off. In 3 weeks my wife went through 3 batteries before she finally started remembering to take the battery out when she was done. So she had to put the battery in that morning before we play then sit down after and remove the battery. It was in honesty entirely ridiculous. I have had to spend two different times sitting out working on my wife's Rize while she used my gun to go play. The first scenario game we went to this year I had to work on a teammates Rize Maxxed when his was leaking air. he also had a problem with screws backing and falling out. The local shop has a ton of spare parts kit and orings due to how many repairs they have to do every weekend. I got my wife a Mini GS on the cheap and she will even tell you that she liked it hands down better than the Rize Maxxed, not to mention she was going months on one battery living it in over the week as compared to the Rize. Yes the Mini GS is more compact and the barrel isn't as good, but in my overall experience the Mini GS is more reliable and doesn't have the stupid eye pipe. Blitz vs Code. Code all day as Azodin just makes shitty markers. Even their pumps are atrocious.
I have the mini and I actually like how small it is I’m 6 foot 3 and been shooting ropes with this thing since I was 13 yelling get em the fuck out! I don’t see a problem with how small the minis are I think it’s a plus for staying in tight!
Hello just wanted to ask. Which would you say is better the JT impulse or the Smartparts 09 impulse? Just want to get another person opinion. Thanks you!!
Very entertaining and the outcome was right on point! GTEK is the best paintball gun at or below $500. I would put Etha 2 at 2nd, Axe 2.0 3rd and Rize maxxed at 4th.
Norm Fernandez i would have to agree with you on everything you said. I don't know why they added the tippmann 98 its not even electric. Guys have you seen the review madman on RU-vid did on the the etha2? I guess you haven't seen how indestructible it is. In addition the Glass reinforced Nylon is much stronger than the aluminum frames that bend dent and scratch very easily. And for a lower price you get a similar performance as a gtek with a pops asa and no line.. Nice video guys def entertaining.
looking at the etha 2 for a first paintball gun, tryna go all out with a budget of like $600 for basic gear, do you think the gun is worth the money I'd be paying ($400) like is the performance good???
John Glenn the performance is top notch but you shouldn’t go for a $400 gun as a first choice. You should go for a used etha 2 so you have enough for a good hopper and a carbon fiber tank
Doc Holliday yes but at the time of this video thats not an electronic. They were just basing it on reliability and years of use whereas the etha2 is fairly new is more than capable of surpassing the 98.
ill pick axe over gtek ergonomics are way better, trigger is better and air hose is concealed and i agree with guy in green shirt reliability too never had any issues using it for 3 years now, better 2 piece barrel too than the gtek have, i own both guns so I really know what are their differences
Freedy I own both. I'm all about that xls. Better board, better bolt, shoots smoother, way way way better barrel comes with the freak xl. Lighter, better feel. Shocker xls for sure
That's a hard one to be honest. I didn't care for the Gtek but I actually really really liked the Gtek 160R. I guess the biggest thing is going to be feel. The Shocker XLS is still going to be just a touch more compact than the 160, not to mention lighter and more strealined. The barrel on the XLS is better, but the sahft barrel isn't bad by any means. The only reason I would lean just slightly more towards the 160R is the customer service. I know a guy that had a couple go arounds with SPs customer service department, but even PE haters can't deny they have one if not the best customer services in the business. I would say ultimately it is up to you if you can hold and shoot both I would recommend it. If not I think you will be happy with either as both are outstanding guns.
Where is the dangerous power fusion elite or g5? Idk how much they were when this video came out, but the dangerous power guns are both right around $300-$350 as of now
Best thing I did was joined a local fb paintball group and bought a used pe gtek170 r with all gear for 700. if you put your budget out there someone will try and help.
Hi so I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for a paintball gun because my father and I play airsoft and paintball except we don’t really have an actual paintball gun so does anyone have any recommendations for speedball and woods ball
You can find a used Gtek like the one in the video. Or if you want mechanical you can get an Emek for 220 new. The Emek uses the same bolt design as the Gtek which is super reliable.
I use the mini gs and it works perfectly I don't have to do maintenance on it that often, most of the time it is just to clean the bolt. But the thing is I am a younger player (11) and for me in my hands it feels very comfortable I use a gi lvl loader and a empire 48/4500 tank. But great video keep up the good work!
I'd recommend the rize (its the updated version of the rail, much more reliable now). The kaos will perform just like the rental guns at the field do. The rize will perform like a tournament marker and with the right barrel (Lurker or Stella) it is pretty much silent.
Don't get me wrong, I love my 98. I put in a CP barrel and a reflex trigger and turned it into a paint hose. However, I also just bought an Etha 2 and the difference in quality is night and day. The Etha 2 is more accurate, air efficient, quieter, lighter and doesn't feel like I'm holding a jackhammer like on the tippmans reflex trigger. The ergonomics argument was a crock of shit. I would equate the tippmans ergonomics to holding a brick with finger groves. If I needed a last ditch weapon for hand to hand combat I would choose the tippman so I could bludgeon a motherfucker. That is the only upside the tippman has for me personally.
Did Jake just say that the Empire barrels were good? Lol. they can't even get bore sizes right by a full hundredth at least the Shaft tolerance is at the thousandth. I love the "better" and "trash" arguments btw, very objective and insightful :)
It does not matter how many times you look at it, a micro-honed metal tube is a micro-honed metal tube. As long as they are true to size they will all be about the same. And now with *longer* control bores you do not even need to under-bore for efficiency. Sound is the other thing that varies, but there, it is all up to proper porting. Really, try out all the barrels (same MEASURED control bore diameter) you'd like on the same gun and chrono with reballs (because they're more consistent than paint). Averages and -/+ will be very similar and any difference will be negligible. Anyway, Dye's reputation comes from the earlier days when they were one of the few companies making lightweight micro-honed aluminium barrels and it has held up. They definitely set the standard for what a quality barrel should be... but now... everyone has caught up. Just make sure they're true to size!
The shaft backs are fine. I just don't like the tips. The same goes for the UL and boomstick. Thats why I've always said that a CP 2 piece barrel with a Dye UL tip would shoot identically to a UL barrel of the same bore size Barrels like Lurker and Stella barrels are, IMO, the best because they have a ton of porting and long, consistent control bores.
I can say that I have never been much of a fan of the Empire barrels, but the barrel set that came with my wife's sniper is pretty nice and aurprisingly pretty quiet. Shaft barrels aren't bad. The pro tip is definitely better than the ones that come on the Gteks.
Jake is such a troll. I love it. Troll on man. You had me laughing on the floor. My only problem is could you of found better guns for bracket 4. You didn't even have the Etek in this.
Stay away from the Rize Maxxed. We have them coming in to the local shop to get worked on all the time. The Dye Rep talked my wife into getting her one. I spent more time on Saturdays fixing her gun while she went out and used my Gtek then I would actually playing. I also noticed that every one of the Rize Maxxed we had come out to the field only one didn't have to keep buying 9 volts for his gun. The batteries drain even when the gun was off. We thought it may have just been the 6 out of the 10 we sold but the dye rep told it is is a problem that they didn't know what was causing it, and that he was telling all the stores to tell their customers to remove the batteries at the end of the day. My wife went through so many batteries because she would forget to remove the battery. I did some work for a guy and he gave me his son's mini gs because he had bought his son a more high end gun. I gave it to my wife and she absolutely loved it. Her only complaint was it didn't have an on/off. I gave her an old deadly wind barrel I had and it was night and day better though the gun is a lot more compact. But she went from shooting maybe 2 or 3 people a day to shooting 7-8 just because of how much more comfortable she felt with it. I recommend shooting and holding both if possible. I will admit the Rize is more comfortable, but trust me when I say you could experience some known problems. Maintenance is going to relatively the same on both of these guns. I would say get the regular gtek if you want a tank of a gun that requires just a little bit of routine maintenance, or even the Etha though it won't be as comforable to hold. While I love the Dye ultralite barrels the proto barrel is not that. The stock gtek barrel is dead even if not better than the proto barrel that comes on the Rize. The on/off is better, easier break down to lube the orings on the bolt
You guys should do a video on the best way to clean a paintball gun. I've spent the past hour cleaning all the books and crevices and rails on my A5 with a G36 shroud with q tips and a rag, and I was wondering if there was a better way to do it that you guys might know
98 over Etha 2 really !? People talk about the 98 being so good you could throw it in the closet and leave there for 8 10 years and it still works. Ok bet but who is still using it after that? Let me see you go use it in a tournament. What a joke Ehta all say
Etha 2 can't even be compared to a 98 Custom, I legit stopped watching and disliked after they voted the 98, price difference says alot too, 98 custom goes for about 140$ as for the Etha 2 400$ they are both very reliable but Etha 2 is quieter, shoots faster, will almost never break paint, and is easy to service.
