Easy Sunday Club thanks. I sell on Etsy and I think I made the mistake of giving customers the option to choose watercolor paper to have their prints made because most chose that. It’s expensive and not white enough. It was hard to find a good quality paper that is bright white and affordable. I may just switch all of my print paper to the one your using. www.etsy.com/Southwesternink
@@EasySundayClub They should! I bought my Epson P900 and Perfection V600 scanner based mostly on your recommendation. And I have not been the least bit disappointed in either one. :')
Excellent idea's! Just what Im looking for now that Im retiring and can get into "art", without actually being an "artist", using my MediaChance D.A.P. program and excellent papers like mentioned...exciting! Thank you.
Thank you so much for all of this info! Really helped me as a beginner in printing watercolor. 🙏 Would you recommend the Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Matte Paper a good paper for printing greeting cards?
THanks so much for sharing your experiences! I ran into issues when printing something with lots of green. Cannot seem to get the vibrant colours I need so I will try your epson paper suggestion.
Did you try any more textured paper, like cold press? I have the same printer and my new scanner doesnt pick up the texture of the watercolour chpaper, so am going to try out various textured fine art paper to 'put back' the texture of the original! The new scanner is more accurate for colour, but the old one, in picking up the texture, has people believing that prints of mixed media prlictures are 3D!
Thank you so much for this video! Im starting to buy all of the equipement to sell my own watercolor prints. Which printer would you recomend to use for the ultra premium presentation matte? Is it compatible to use with any pro printer or how does this work? :0 thank you guys♡
Hi Ilse! Thank you for the kind words of support. Ultra premium presentation matte is thin enough that it should work with most printers. The printer we use is an Epson SureColor P800. This model has been discontinued and will soon be replaced by the SureColor P900. If you want to get the latest and greatest, wait for the P900. If you are starting out and don't want to spend too much you will be fine with a used P800, new P800, or even the prior model to that, the Epson Stylus Pro 3880. We are releasing the review of our Epson P800 printer in the next couple weeks so stay subscribed for updates. For a list of all the equipment we use here is our resources page: www.easysundayclub.com/pages/resources
Very good video thank you. My printer is a Brother printer and I am not happy with the prints. I have tried different kinds of paper . Some are better than others but I think it is my printer, not the paper.
I think you are right. There is a printer shortage right now so hard to get a good printer right now. You can see some of my prior printer review videos for reference.
An additional question - how archival are your inks? Do you have a video about that and also do you know anything about the canon printer and inks as well? Thanks again!
We use oem (original manufacturer) epson archival ink which is advertised to last over 100 years without fading if the print is kept under glass and away from direct sunlight. My research has found Canon makes good archival inks but the Epson may be a little more fade resistant. However other factors like care of the print and it not being in direct sunlight will play roles in the longevity of the print. Thank you for the support Carol!
I have them listed in this video where I also talk about the eco friendly options! There’s a 10% code you can use if you’re in the US. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GezOWESn0Z4.html
Thanks for watching! We just made a video re: types of paper for greeting cards as well. We found that there are not a lot of deep dive videos about paper out there :)
Thank you so much!! I have just started watercolor painting and people have asked if I would sell prints. We just purchased a Cannon printer (although I know you use Epson). This has really helped me decide what paper to use!! Your art is amazing!!
Thanks Jean. Lots of our vids u can prob check out that will inform u of next steps: how to make greeting card, how to make art print, our art print workflow video where we go into print settings etc.
