Fun fact.. The cast and crew were warned well ahead of time not to wear anything red during filming. 126th Street, where this movie was shot, was well inside the territory of the Crips street gang. So for their own safety, red clothing was banned from the set, because anyone wearing red clothing of any kind, would be assumed to be sympathetic to the Bloods, and potentially be attacked on sight by the Crips.
@@Lixsupreme no need to be rude, I was just asking a question. I don’t understand the need to put others in danger just to make a film. One of the interesting things about Hollywood is it’s ability to make things feel and look real with the use of special effects or finding areas that fit the theme of the movie.
"Excuse me brother , what we call Drugs on 74th street baptist church , we call'a Sinny Siiiiin Sin.. " 'Well round here between normany and weston , we this here a lil Twiiiny Twin Twin ! Niggggggaaah!' xD MY FAVORITE PART EVERYTIME XD
@@chadwickdavis8529 all of the scenes in this video are funny tho so obviously the video was intended for only funny moments regardless of the title. Come on bro use them brain cells
Back in the 90’s, middle of the night, can’t sleep, flipping through channels, I come upon this movie. It had just started so I figured I’d sit through it. It had me on the floor laughing. At the time I worked in South LA and all my buddies were African American. The next day when I got to work I absentmindedly asked one of them if he’d ever seen Friday. He was like, “What?” surprised that I’d even ask. I told him what happened... he tells the rest of our crew, and before you knew it everyone is quoting lines and acting out scenes from movie. It was an awesome day. From that day on a day didn’t go by that at least one person at work did not quote a line to me... Miss those guys, lively bunch and real good people.
My love for this movie just keeps growing. I just love how it's a movie with no plot, just a whole bunch of events that happen coincidentally in one day. That's what happens in real life if you were to sit outside your house on a Friday. A shame the sequels didn't have the same feel to them. They felt empty without the other characters like Smoky, Red, Debbie, Dana, Mrs Jones and Mrs Parker
Facts. In my opinion, stories executed well like this will always age better because there will only ever be more and more stories told until there will be an almost infinite amount. And the only ones that will stand out aren't ones with good plot, it'll be stories told from the unique perspective of the author. I love this shit, it's one of my all-time favourites and comedy isn't even one of the genres I go for.
The H1llz Have Eyez what lesson? If you have a pissed off drug dealer coming to kill you because you smoked all his weed, just steal the money and it's good? Fight dirty, throwing bricks and shit? Haha those are good lessons lol
Understand that Smokey's behavior was probably the result of his upbringing. Craig lived in a pretty normal household and behaved himself in a more solid manner. While his father did not have the best manners either, he was home and was an example of the working man.
Lowkey one of the funniest parts of the movie for me is when Ice Cube pretends to never have smoked weed before. He learns to love it so damn quick, they made a montage out of it XD
