How does this deal with a little wind - does it sway a lot...?

It doesn’t sway at all in a little wind. It’s really heavy duty and stable. Much better in windy conditions than other umbrellas we have had.

Can the base be mounted directly to concrete?

@@Deadman420_1 I’m not sure, did you check the Amazon listing? It does not come with bolts to mount it like that.
