Check the Gigrig G3. It has 2 amp switching trs jacks and can be programmed to work with any switch. 2 amp outs with phase flip option, aux/tuner jack is trs and can be used as an extra loop. Pre and or post adjustable gain, full midi in out, change loop order internally and soooo much more. I’ve had a lot of RJM switchers, G22, 6 loop, mastermind pedals and rack units and wouldn’t give up my G3 for anything.

Pedalboard risers, and Barefoot buttons for the pedal, just make things easier.

Regarding expression pedals - there's a german company (901 Sound) that has made an X/Y axis, so a dual axis expression pedal. It's called "Fulcrum". I highly recommend it.

On D-socket panels and locking jacks you can disassemble the jack and remove the red locking mechanism. It's kind of the best of both worlds as you ditch the stiff locking tab, but retain the solid enclosed body of the jack.

Great podcast!! I use a few bits of Flourescent gaffertape to mark front edge of my OD & EQ pedal--- Plus a wee blob of dayglow yellow nail polish on the knobs. I´m Front&Centre so don´t get much time for Shoe Gazing when i play. I gotta sort out a proper power supply Block though for 8 pedals,

For Templeboards I love the AC Mains Micro Module. Patch bay = Vertex Buffer Interface. And I use the Tech 21 Midi Mouse for scrolling through all the banks on my TC Electronic Plethora X5.

A Mesa Boogie Rectum Fryer would definitely be a problem.

One thing I just thought of if you have USB devices and want to put a USB connector on your board is a USB isolator. I havre an RJM PBC10 and if I plug my laptop in to program it while the rig is on, if the laptop is plugged into power I get hum and buzz that is loud. I could unplug the power supply and just run the laptop on battery but with the isolator on the USB no hum or buzz. My 2 cents LBC

Would 90° angled jack plugs help with useing a locking jack ?....it could still move your pedalboard or amp if the cable is pulled to hard but if you don't want to use a locking jack socket True Tone make a mono jack plug socket that has 2 + legs & 2- legs giving 200% more contact to your jack plug & are a solid tight fit compared to a standard jack socket...i have fitted them to all my bass's & my MIM Fender Cyclone guitar...great jack sockets..

I got some Neutrik locking jacks and found them too tight. Took the internal red retainer out, put it back together and it’s still firm connection but not locked in. I usually tape cables down if there’s any chance of trips

Great episode. Here’s an accessory question: what’s the simplest way I can change the location of my Boss MD200 in my chain (e.g., have the MD200 pop to before my OD section when using univibe but then pop it back after the OD section for other modulation) in my otherwise straightforward, non-loop switcher board?

What do you clip on the neutrik locking 1/4" to get rid of the ground loop?

I have a USB hub under my board with a USB A port on the side so I can connect a laptop to all my USB-capable pedals at once. But I’ve had issues where some can cause noise, either just digital nastiness or ground loops. Are there any products that can help to eliminate that? Something like a ground lift for USB cables?

Any Rechargeable Battery power supplies for pedal boards? Most power supplies will not SELF Regulate without pedals connected. I'm not sure why people are using power supplies that won't self regulate but you should make a YT lesson about power supplies not self regulating and how much of the noise level they are being induced into the pedal board. If you use a DVM meter and measure Ghost voltages from leakage currents cause ghost voltages as well as the patch cables and pedalboard cables can cause Ghost Voltages which you should make a YT lesson about measure ghost voltages on pedalboards.

Do I need an expression pedal for each pedal I want to express or should I use one to operate chorus, delay and reverb all together ????

Maybe I'd rather have 3 expression pedals as Im Not interested in midi...

No, there are expression pedals that have dual outputs. Also, mission engineering sells a programmable expression pedal controller that allows you to control and program up to three pedals. Its called the expressionator. Hope this helps.
