Czar Lesleo yes they were nominated for a grammy when they came out with riot they didn't win unfortunately they had stiff competition with any Winehouse and muse or kings of Leon
plus she'd been head banging and running around so she needed to lay down so she could hit the notes haha. not lessening the amazing tho it was freaking killer
taycro guys/girls that's been part of putting on a show for this song and part of the routine for almost every performance of this song live. Has nothing to do with needing to hit those notes, as she could hit those notes in her sleep if she wanted to.
Mark Spar mmmm debatable. i'm almost positive she needs lies down (occasionally sits down) so her body can calm down and she's able to hit those notes. they're at the top of her range for sure and lying down makes them easier to hit.
oh Father, oh Father, oh Father, my Jesus Father, well I am ready won't you let it begin cause I am here now I want to dance in the mighty palm of your hand"
i love how hayley goes down to ground and says,"oh father, oh father..." and i'm like wow. i think let the flames begin is the empowering song of paramore.
paramore is a band. even after zac, josh and now jeremy have left. and this really hurts me after nine years of admiring paramore. but paramore will still be a band.
***** Hayley and Taylor. They don't have 5 members like they did 6+ years ago, but they're still a band and are going to continue as such until they decide to call it quits.
bro, im a 29 yr old full grown man, i get chills n tear up whenever i watch this performance, this is literally the most powerful live performance ive ever seen. woah
this is the best fucking performance that they've ever made, i will never get tired of it. This is my favorite one along with the one of Decode in the Summer Sonic festival
Paramore lives are much better than the studio version, always. I seriously think their songs should be recorded live and left alone without auto tune.
I totally agree. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s we had to put up with crap female artists, like Madonna and Kylie Minogue, who couldn't sing live without lip-synching and autotune; now, in Hayley Williams, we have the most talented female artist, since the 1970s, and some people just can't stop complaining about her just because she's had a change in musical direction (thanks mainly to the abrupt departure of Josh and Zac Farro). Go figure...
This song is complete badassery. I always come back to this video everyone once and awhile to get that emotional high. Its just such a great song and such a great performance.
A year later I come back to this and the performance still gives me goosebumps and puts tears in my eyes. I really want to get back to practicing the drums every time I listen to this. I’m not religious either, but the end gives me shivers.
Can't count how many times I've re watched this exact live performance, and every time I watch it, it never fails to give me goosebumps throughout several parts of the video every single time. From the instruments, the vocals, and production, and the energy Hayley Williams brings onto stage. Don't even get me started about the worshiping at the end. This performance is flawless.
Can’t count the times on one hand I’ve seen this performance But when I see it it never fails to give, fails to give me goosebumps... Sorry I couldn’t resist lmao I’ll leave now
the passion in this woman's voice is so powerful it always gets to me. the bands performance in this is so great but shows how amazing hayley is as a singer and performer. thanks for the video.
[Lyrics] What a shame we all became such fragile, broken things A memory remains just a tiny spark I give it all my oxygen To let the flames begin To let the flames begin Oh, glory Oh, glory This is how we’ll dance when When they try to take us down This is what will be oh glory Somewhere weakness is our strength And I’ll die searching for it I can’t let myself regret such selfishness My pain and oh the trouble caused No matter how long I believe that there’s hope Buried beneath it all and Hiding beneath it all, and Growing beneath it all This is how we’ll dance when When they try to take us down This is how we’ll sing (oh) This is how we’ll stand when When they burn our houses down This is what will be oh glory Reaching as I sink down into light Reaching as I sink down into light This is how we’ll dance when When they try to take us down This is how we’ll sing (oh) This is how we’ll stand when When they burn our houses down This is what will be oh glory
+paramoreguate Well that is brutal. Sydney is by no means the greatest vocalist in the world, but comparing her to Hayley is a bit harsh. Hayley probably has the greatest vocal range in rock, and she can belt to no end.
Oh Father... Oh Father... Oh Father... My Jesus! Father, well I'm ready Won't you let it begin? 'Cause I'm here now I want to dance in The mighty palm of your hand...
U can tell that from the first note they felt it... The power of the God's took over them and something other worldly happen on the stage. Love this so much!
I was there for this performance and I'm so grateful I have footage to be able to come back to so I can relive it. One of the most incredible performances I've seen from the band, alongside My Heart at Wembley. Both give me chills every time I rewatch.
today this performance came to my mind and looked it up hoping it was still here on youtube, bc the last time I saw it was years ago. I look back and in these times of covid there's nothing I would like more than to be there in that crowd without a care in the world. I really hope we can go back to those times.
When I first watched this video like some ten years ago, I literally cried, I don't know why, its just so rewarding and exuberating to watch your favorite band perform their hearts and lungs out. It made me feel proud, it made me feel complete. Paramore, my forever favorite band.
I think The Final Riot performance of this song remains my favorite, her vocal performance in that outro was stellar. This band is amazing. not to mention Zac's killer drumming skills.
to all you people saying that they aren't good anymore, if you listen to songs like part 2, future or anklebiters, and still not hear paramore, you were never a true fan to begin with. "but i guess you can't accept that the change is good..."
Such a powerhouse they are. She's such a force and the band is totally overlooked as being unbelievably tight and had such a dynamic range. They were such a force to be reckoned with.
awesome!! man that was crazy good.. folks some people grow and grow up.. and their music reflects that.. some people stay stuck and your comments reflect that time is moving on without you
this performance is insanely perfection there chemistry is flowing through all of them and they play so well together it's amazing how well they play I want them back on stage
its insane how these young guys can put you in so many hard feelings.these bands such like paramore, made some parts of me in my teenage years and they have teached me a lot with just being respectful to themselves and to us. They have build me up with many new feelings. They're like a teacher that I will respect throughout my whole lifetime... They are like the teacher that i wanna pray "oh father, oh father" to them right now. only right now cause i am energised and grateful for that live moment
how do you expect paramore to stay the same when josh isnt writing their music anymore? they'll always be a rock band but that doesn't mean they cant experiment and have fun.
That's not even the reason they don't sound identical to their older stuff. They wrote the Singles Club EP after the Farros left which was pretty much the exact same style as we're used to. Hayley said that they could have kept writing music like that if they wanted to, but decided to expand and experiment with different sounds to make a unique album.
This is my most favorite live performance of them ever! This is the strongest they've done so far. It's so sad that i'll never be able to see this live. But I am still happy for what Paramore has become. I will love them forever.
I would trade whatever I have now to be in this concert, but I also have to admit that I love the Paramore they'd become. Such an inspiring band. Never dead. Always evolving and I love that concept.
All 7 years I enjoy this video and execution. Tremendous power, and music, my God!!! what music and vocal!!! Zac's drums, solo Josh and Hailey's vocal (try to sing so divinely and at the same time to shake the head). These words and music long ago under my skin. It is a magnificent musical life story. Thanks, Paramore.
you can't manufacture this....u can scour the earth and buy all the best musicians in the world but you will never touch what this group had in a bottle...when every hair on my body stands straight up and I tear up from the emotion through a video...I couldn't imagine being front stage ...my god something special you guys are magical
