So if you actually read & pay attention to the comments you'll know I'm a fan of you guys and the channel ! That said it kills me that as big into Jeeps we all are it didn't occur to fold the windshield down !!! Lmao I know it ads a few steps but it be so much easier to install & hey you can clean it really well !!!! Gotta bust balls !!!!
I was actually just thinking earlier this week if you were going to do a video on Bulletpoint Mounts! I still need to get mine, with purple carbon fiber tubes, for my Reign JL when it gets here.
It's like 30 minutes tops to drop the windshield and less to put it back up so that way ppl aren't struggling to see stuff in the tight small dash that's the new jeeps have
Matt, That's a nice set up. I use a CCM ball mount that replaces one of the screw on the grab handle. To that I use a RAM mount with a short bar. I find it's easy to access and does not reduce my field of vision. Just picked up my 2020 JLU Rubicon. (2.0L auto) I love the way it drives and rides..... Great video.... THANKS..
It looks like they upgraded their RubiGrid. My wife and I both have them in our Jeeps, but they're one piece that just secures with the two screws. I like how you can take the top part off of yours to change accessories without having to unmount the base; it makes a lot more sense. PS - Wives really like the grab bar mounting balls. With their tiny little girl arms, it's much easier for them to reach than those mounts way up on the dashboard. ;)
I bit the bullet. Pun intended. Maybe now my phone won't land in my coffee cup, my iPad won't be laying in the floorboard and I can finally see where the heck the next trail turn off is! 🤦🏻♂👀
Looks like a nice and sturdy mount 👍 As a fellow High Velocity Jeep owner, I felt that when you said the yellow doesn’t match. It’s hard to find accessories in that neon yellow!
I love Bullet point phone mounts! I had one in my gladiator, and I have one for my wrangler now. I ordered the one similar to the rubi grid for my wrangler. I still have a auxbeam switch board to install. Main reason why I got the grid system because of the versatility.
I've got the same setup in my 2020 JLU and 2022 Gladiator Mojave. One of the reasons I went with this setup in both vehicles is because I purchased a midland GMRS 15W radio and instead of buying two radios I just ordered a second radio mount from midland along with a second antenna and antenna mount. I mounted the extra radio mount to the bullet point bracket. The radio could either be hardwired or comes with 12V plug, so I use the 12V plug for power and easily move the radio between vehicles. I literally slide radio into bracket, screw on antenna cable and plug into 12V and I'm good. The bulletpoint system is awesome, holds my phone, GMRS radio and I also bought the mic holder attachement from Bullet point. I love it.
Aloha Matt. This is a very cool 😎 and very useful product for the Jeep JT and Jeep Wrangler. Terrific video 📼 installation Matt.🤜🤛👐🙌😄🏡🤓💰😇🤠😎👍🔍🔅🌟🤲👀💪🎓📼🤙🐶🐕⛅
I didn't want to lose my dash tray, it's perfect for holding sunglasses. I went Carolina Metal Masters (CMM Offroad) A Pillar Mirror Mount with the Ball Mount. Not only do I have a factory looking solution to run mirrors when I have the doors off, but I have a 1mm ball for my RAM mounts so I can run any peripherals or GoPro's. I've been running that option on both of our JL's for a year now and could not be happier with their functionality and factory appearance.
Love my bullet point mounts, had it sitting here ready to fit while my Rubicon was still on order. Only disappointment was that they didn’t ship to Australia, had to order through Amazon. Don’t know if they have started sending international yet. I got the left and right, dual ball mounts. Leaves me room in the middle for throwing sunglasses there when not being used, but still have 4 mount positions. Great set up.
One of the first things I ordered for my JL. Love my Bulletpoint mount! Noticed yours was different than mine. I didn't have the two-piece design. Mine looks like the website, not like yours at all.
So I just got my mount from bulletpoint, and I'm impressed. Initially, opening the packages I was not expecting it to all be machined metal. The phone clip, the ends of the carbon fiber arm, the arm ends, and even the balls all appear to me machined solid aluminum or steel. I was expecting at least some of it to be plastic. It's definitely going to last the test of time!
I love their phone mount, but the tablet mount is really not that great. Cheap plastic, rattle when empty. And for the life of me was not able to make it stable. It was rotating even tighten to the point of breaking. I had to change and buy an aluminum tablet holder for tripod with a ball and new arm from tackform and it was way sturdier.
I did a lot of research on this mount and other competitors. The one I picked that work best for me was the ram mount. It was the a better solution for me. They have specific mount for the 2018 and up jl and jt. They a unlimited amount of mount available and when i added everything together it was cheaper than all ther mount for what felt also was better or same quality.
I got a pair a few months ago on my Rubicon 4xe. You can just give a heads-up to your Canadian views they do not deliver in Canada. I had to get a US address shipper to ship it to Canada. It was worth it.
Went with cpl diff mounts before the BMS. Love it. I use the magnetic but have both. Bought the grab bar mount from CMM & switch depending if someone in passenger seat
I use anvil overland phone mounts they hold your phone in a death grip and also the 69 mount both systems are nice and it’s also the last mounting solution I will ever buy
Cant lie, always enjoy getting to see your vidoes. great content. once i get my JL definitely going to get the base then run ram mount mounts only because i already have so many.
These mounts suck, first off it's nothing new it's the same one all the same RU-vidrs show, but who wants to mount their phone that high up? You want everyone to see your phone or just you. It needs to be much lower, that mount is ridiculous
