Two types of jades Big leaf Small leaf For chinese and japanese it's an lucky plant. I too started my first bonsai with jade plant. I am proning the branches of jade and reporting to other pots. Now all cuttings became big forest in my house. But I like jade because it is easy to maintain and easy to make bonsai shapes. Good explanation for beginners.
