BEST PLANTS FOR BATHROOMS - LOW LIGHT PLANTS
I get a lot of questions about what plants work best for rooms with no light, or low light. Usually our bathrooms have limited light so choosing plants can be tricky. Bathrooms can be great for plants - especially those humid loving plants! Today I will do a quick low light plant tour of my bathrooms and show you the low light houseplants that seem to do really well for me! These easy plants make great beginner houseplants especially in the bathroom!

I have 3 bathrooms and none have windows and all are smaller than your bathrooms. In my guest bathroom I have 2 LED grow light bulbs in the fixture over the mirror. My plants seem to be doing well. Right now I have a couple of peperomia and they seem happy and are currently flowering. Just another option for windowless or low light bathrooms/rooms.

That’s true!! I don’t have any grow lights yet. That’s a whole new world. I’m thinking about it this winter for a couple dark corners I have. You are totally right, grow lights can totally work. Obviously the peperomia think so! 👍🏻👍🏻

Both bathrooms looked amazing! My bathroom stays heated throughout the winter, so I’m excited to get some plants.

Love that you get to put plants in your bathrooms without a grow light! So lucky! I might be more encouraged to collect all the calatheas if I have a window in the bathroom LOL

I have a monstera, 2 peace lilies, spider plant, pothos n joy in my bathroom. They’re in the bathtub we don’t use with 2 corner windows (east/south).

Thank you Rosetta, I am a total plant lady and I have a big west-facing window in my bathroom and zero plants. I also have heated floors in there so it's one of the warmest rooms in the winter... I wonder what i should put in there? :)

I love your babies!!! I have a small bathroom but it has a HUGE south facing window! My maranta is thriving in there. Now all I need is a fern for the shower!

This is making me wonder if I could grow a more cold hardy plant that isn't advertised as a house plant in a bathroom with a grow light. My bathroom is a windowless basement room that probably could get too cold for a tropical plant.

Today I planted fern, pothos, snake plant, and 4 other plants I don't know the name of. But I planted them in small plastic bottles, they are so small. Will they grow?😐😕

My bathroom has no window so right now I have no plant in there. I do want one though, and I tried keeping a blue star fern and it did not do well 😭

I bet it didn't. Bluestars like a lot of light. I love the look of plants in the bathroom. I would go faux plant if I didn't have enough light!
