This review was outstanding thank you so very much. It seems very easy to install and that was my biggest concern. You were so thorough God Bless you. I'm in Florida and this season they are saying it's going to be an active hurricane season. I'm getting the same one you reviewed so I can run it if we have a power outage with a small generator.
I'm sooo happy to hear that you found this helpful! Thank you so much for saying so. We love this unit... Havent used it on a generator but I can't see why that wouldn't work! Prayers for a very inactive hurricane season for you!
I bought this as a back up AC emergency. If any of yall live in south Texas during the summer. You know what I mean lol. My current Central AC works(knock on wood). Lol.
Great video! Could you tell me if the adjustable window mount can get up to 55in in length? I have a vertical window I'm looking at installing the unit to.
No bicus evrey portable air conditioner hase evaporativ sistem that evaporates the water inside it self and the water mist is going thrue the hose. A LOT people dosent know this. The drain is usede ONLY for dehumidfing or puting it in storage.
Thank you! Question: is there a way to keep it running on cool all night, low fan speed, without the fan turning off and back on? For example, a lot of them will turn off once the temperature is reached, then when it gets warmer in the room, it will turn back on. This always wakes me up because I can hear it turn off and back on all night
Mine is very similar. I cant get dehumidify to work though. .Pressing 'on' , it runs dehumidify about 30 seconds then off. The rest works ok.I thought the drain hose was only for dehumidifying and the condensation evaporates . Those window kits seem to by for usa windows
I just got one and put in a continuous drain. It just drains to a bucket and I throw it out. But the salesguy at the store told me you don't need to do that. that the machine will evaporate the water. I am skeptical about that. other video's Ive seen show that if you don't coninuously drain it, you have to drain it out from the bottom every few days or the machine will stop working saying you need to drain water. but not sure which method is best.
No you don't fill this with water. When it is running it will create condensation which has to go somewhere... That's what the skinny tube is for.. to direct the condensation out of your house or into a bucket.
I bought this model, but mine is a 10,000 BTU version for my 2004 VW Rialta RV. My rooftop compressor A/C gave out, and I just decided to remove the A/C, and now I have room for 600 watts of solar in my roof.
I can't speak specifically to your situation but im not surprised it got warm. If the output in the vent is cool and you have good ventilation I would say just keep a eye on it while it's doing it's first run. I bet it's fine!
I just got one based on this review - have a question about the continuous drain - guy at store told me you don't need it. the unit should evaporate the water. Is this true? What's the better option - continuous drainage or let the machine do it's thing and drain it every few weeks?
Sadly the guy at the store told you wrong. It does need a place to drain. Ideally drain outside BUT it can drain into a bucket, a jug, etc. Just keep an eye on the container because you wouldnt want to leave it alone and then have an overflow. All of the water goes outside of the unit.
@@StephanieKauffman thanks for the quick response. I took off the continuous drain today but when I tried to drain from the middle of the machine where the drain pipe goes in, there was no water. Is that where you drain the water or is it the drain at the bottom of the machine?
@@StephanieKauffman oh got it! So I pulled the bottom drain and some water came out. Not a lot maybe half a cup. When I have the continuous drain on from the middle drain _ much more water is produced. Do you recommed continuous drain from the middle of the machine w drain hose while AC is running or no continuous drain and just drain out from the bottom drain every few days?
Oh yes! We actually moved and our new house...the AC went out so thank goodness we had this to get us through. It's about 94 in the South today where we are 🥵
Absolutley! As a matter of fact, our AC went out in our house last week and we were able to use this to keep our room nice and cold! I need it to be at least 68 degrees to sleep and this did just that! Here is a video we made about that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wjcTc_SoMeQ.htmlsi=RFtVM6QwxMYjnmGF
Found simply means I got it from Amazon to fix a problem I had. But you knew that already you just like to stir things up. Go find somewhere else to do that. 🤣
