Today, have a fantastic #howto video for you! Join us as we delve into the essential practices for closed pressure transferring your homebrewed beer. Closed pressure transferring helps maintain the integrity of your beer by minimizing exposure to oxygen. This process is crucial for several reasons:
Preservation of Flavor: Oxygen can lead to oxidation, which negatively affects the taste and aroma of your beer. Closed transferring helps keep your beer fresh and flavorful.
Maintaining Carbonation: Open transfers can result in loss of carbonation. Closed systems ensure your beer retains its desired level of carbonation, providing a better drinking experience.
Reducing Contamination Risk: By minimizing exposure to air and potential contaminants, closed transferring helps prevent unwanted infections and spoilage, ensuring your brew stays pure and high-quality.

How was the receiving keg prepared re oxygen removal?

In both instances, we would purge the receiving keg using a gas line, regulator, and CO2 cylinder.

How carbonated is the beer when transferring from the fermzilla? I currently am not set up to keg. Would I still need to prime my bottles or could I bottle directly from this and cap?

That's a great question, regarding going from fermenter to bottles. I imagine you'd still need to utilize some sort of counter-pressure bottle filler or a product like the Blichmann Beer Gun, as it would be like bottling from a carbonated keg. I'll try to get a more definitive answer for you!
