The sad part of today's day and age is that everything is hackable. We just installed similar lock to our safety door but if anything is connected to wifi as these doors are and RFID can also be cloned and hackable regardless of you getting any alerts on your phone. Because if the smart thief can clone RFID then they can also bypass the alerts too. These are definitely safer but nothing is safe in reality.
Did you remove your existing lock before installation or it was a new installation? Also wanted to check if the existing door holes are visible or taken care by Qubo?
Hi Somnath, you can do it both ways, replace existing lock or add this. This is quite big in size, so keeping existing lock may look very cluttered on the door. Depending on the size of your existing lock, holes may be visible.
You posted the video at the right time... I started researching on smart door lock from yesterday and there you go! Can you give me the model number and price of what you got installed?
We are planning to out an external grill door just outside the main door. The gap between the 2 is expected to be around 2.5 inches. Will handle on the lock protrude beyond this gap?
Your videos are very helpful. I just started looking for information on smart solutions for the home. Could you please also review Ozone locks. Another thing I am also wondering about is the warranty and quality of after purchase services if there is some issue or repairs.... that these companies offer... as we invest quite a bit for smart locks and bells ...
Very informative video. Thanks for sharing this. Can you also help compare Qubo with Dorset (specifically DG 204). It would be of great help, thanks in advance.
Hi, no pls go for this instead amzn.to/3BD26yF at a slightly higher budget with mapping. If you are looking for a basic one, I recommend this one instead amzn.to/40hQ1JC
Tq but I need for sweeping, mopping, cleaning basically which does all work for my parents and with remote control, and what your thoughts on maturing?
And we have to always carry the mechanical key with us ... If we go out and came back the battery is low we need the key.. If the key is inside we are traped😅🤣🤣
1) There are other options in smart locks e.g. Yale or Godrej. 2) Company goodwill means nothing. FYI, Yale is 200y old reputed British lock maker, as famous as Chubb safes. 3) Features is one thing, utility is another. 4) Smart locks costing you 10s of thousands are NOT electronic jamming proof. 5) The metal quality is pathetic. I saw reviews, the handles are flimsy & break very easily. 6) Emergency support/service is pathetic - you come home and the lock doesn't open. What you will do? Wait for 10s of hours till the mechanic comes? Or, break your 50,000/- lock? 7) FYI, they always advice you to have the physical key handy. Then, what fun is there in "smart" locks? 8) Electronics are from China. 9) Electronics can go bad any time, you MUST always carry the physical key. Then, what fun is there in "smart" lock? 10) Smart locks are best for indoors or for establishments with physical security system, NOT for home main doors.
😊 thanks for sharing your thoughts. sure there are other brands too. This demo is specifically for Qubo. The emergency support actually responded really fast on whatsapp. You can always unlock using the app if the code does not work. Metal quality did not feel flimsy to me at all. It was super sturdy. I know many apartments installed this and other smart locks - in general reviews are positive.
Hi Saumya, The experience of buying the Qubo product. I had placed an order on May 10th after seeing your video utilising your discount code but the things started going bad with delivery which they have partnered with Shiprocket which never got delivered until 22nd and after multiple followup I understand that refund policy is worst. They will keep pushing to delay it until finally they agreed for refund which will happen post the item is delivered back to their RTO and following that it takes 14 working days. But again they don't respond on email when calling them they will again say we will send the delivery through Shiprocket were Shiprocket employees says the area is outside their delivery point in Bangalore. I am still struggling and following up with them even after the products they received at their origin on June 1st. They are still not acknowledging. This may be one of the cases but sometimes people go with the influencer and it's advisable to buy through other eCommerce portals where you can have the option of refund in a smoother way. My humble request is to also specify the return and refund terms going forward if you put a product on the channel.
Thanks for sharing Vineeth. I agree that buying from ecomm portals is much better. Delivery is a big challenge and unprofessional - esp. with Delhivery / Shiprocket these days. I myself am facing the same issue with some products I'm supposed to return right now and the delivery exec just randomly keeps cancelling it - with no fault of the company. They (the company) eventually need to write off the charges they paid for delivery.
One big con .. it's difficult to find a micro USB cable these days.. now apple is also using type C why these companies are still using Micro USB ports
