The PSP thought this was the best game of the Dallas PSP. Does it measure up to last year's incredible games? Thumbnail photo by the amazing Erik Chateau.
I did the exact same thing.. Was doing a last minute assignment the night before it was due.. Ended up watching paintball for 8 hrs so yup.. I was obviously too sick to goto school the next day
It's crazy seeing Alex, Yosh, and Ryan still playing. It's been at least 5 years since I've played a PSP and NPPL event. It was crazy being able to chill with them and watch them play back then. I miss those days.
I still can't get over that first game. A perfect run through for Dynasty in 36 seconds.....against one of the top teams in the world no less. That's inhuman level paintball, like not even fun at that point. 36 seconds to clean house holy cow.
I think it should be mandatory to have go-pros attached to the front of their hoppers. It wouldn't impede them in any way, and it would add SO SO much for the viewing experience. They could edit replays to show who got the best kills and what not. Such a cool sport, but it suffers so much from not being easy to watch. Or should I say nearly impossible.
Why all the hate between pballers and airsoft? Why not both? In the question of "Paintball, or Airsoft" the answer is "Yes" Guys. These are marginalized, non-mainstream extreme sports. In-fighting will push people away from both sports. It establishes a negative atmosphere that turns people off. There is plenty of stuff people can spend their time doing that is less controversial and expensive than these games. Stop being a bunch of children and work together to build both sports. Thank you.
You should see my field that I play at. It's called Ballbusters Paintball, located in South Carolina. I got behind a "dorito" and looked down to grab my dropped muzzle cover. I saw at least 100 unbusted paintballs right there around me. I crushed a pile of them with my foot.
Yep. At this level they're more concerned about the speed of the reload than actually getting every ball. Not to mention the camera people probably liked seeing the paintballs flying everywhere and gave precedence to spots with that happening :)
I was there it was intense! Ollie almost had that one! The whole crowd went nuts! On top of that dynasty used our entire teams pods! I will never forget it, thank you Dynasty! Go Apex!
Let's settle this right now: Airsoft Pros: Realism Accuracy Highly Upgrade-able Many systems to choose from (Gbb, aeg, hpa, spring etc) 1:1 sale weapons (In America) No brightly colored guns. (Like in the UK) Orange tip is removable Cheap ammo (BBs) Cheap guns. ($200 for a very good beginner gun that would be worth more) A lot of DIY mods. (R-Hop etc) Range No need for rail risers to compensate for BB drop. (What hop-up is used for) Mostly full metal Real steel Ris, grips, etc fit with Airsoft. Adrenaline Airsoft Cons: Cheaters ! (Sorry, I have been a Airsofter for a long time, can't hate on it. So I can't think of anything else) Paintball Pros: Many different play styles Upgrade-able No orange tip Cheap guns for beginners Full metal, Aluminum etc Real steel components fit for Paintball Many different playstyles (Mil-Sim, RecBall, ReBall, XBall, Woodsball, Speedball Etc) More difficult to cheat (Not saying people don't cheat.) Adrenaline Paintball Cons: Expensive paint Cheaters ! Bright colored guns (Pro and Con) So tell me if I missed anything. Please tell me which is the better sport.
Often they feel playing tighter to the bunker is more important than giving away their position. It generally means they are worried about being shot in the side from the other side of the field. Great question!
+PbNation Paintball how close are you allowed to be when shooting?, in the montage at the beginning i saw a few i thought would be barrel taps at my local club.
Neither airsoft or paintball is better. They are their own sports. I'm an airsoft player and I just enjoy it more. I wish I could do both, but that would be WAY to expensive. Even though I'm an airsofter I say this is some awesome stuff! lol I'm being reminded of when I first played paintball (I had never played airsoft prior to this too so no practice with this style of sport at all). I was 10 years old and everyone else (about 10 other players) were anywhere from 16-60, but I was the youngest. I actually performed fantastic. I really surprised myself. The funny thing though is I was wearing flip flops the whole time, and I could barely see half the time because frankly rental goggles always fog. But ya FLIP FLOPS! lol Like as a airsoft player the idea of using flip flops is just like ".....are you high on something?" I'm sure with paintball it's the same way lol because in airsoft we use combat boots and you guys use cleats I think. But ya. What was everyone else's first experience? That could be in airsoft or paintball.
There are dozens of tournaments, many different leagues, 5 minor league divisions, semi-pro division, open division and then two professional divisions (challengers and then champions) It's been a sport in this sense for two decades.
Need to get more air time a recognition for paintball in order for it to really take off....it would help a lot of people are bored sitting at home a flipping through channels and come across a paintball tournament and see how fast paced and action packed it is and be more apt to want to get out there and try it
Vaughn Dawn Gaming! both are great paintball is in a feild, with blow up things some are in woods but at the same time airsoft is more realistic but both are good fun sports
Airsoft, slow paced game. Paintball, fast up to extremely fast gameplay. Both games have there pros and cons, i enjoy playing both, it depends on my mood.
OneTrickPony I agree! I'm just surprised there are no players wearing any, I would think it would boost their rep, to newer community members, to be able to see what they see, and show it periodically on the screen...
+TackStash779 at this level these guys live and breath low profile.... They cant implement a Go-Pro into their gear w/o it making it easier to tag them
Paintball arenas are just so boring. I would love to play in a more urban environment rather than a bunch of inflatable barricades on a flat piece of land.
I've always wondered why a lot of paintball fields have inflatable barricades where as airsoft have a more urban environment and as a personal opinion I prefer airsoft.
I'm *very* thankful that they explained the phrase "He's got the ball.".. Just in case aliens are watching and have figured out how to speak english, but not fluently, just having problems with some idioms and analogies, so they take things literally
Dang you little kids doing this "paintball vs airsoft" trash. It doesn't matter about what's better or not. Its about having fun. Its your choice. You guys can't just change the minds of others. Seriously now stop being kids and grow up
Looks lame and boring. They should use guns with low fire rate, look at this shit, they're sitting on one place, jerk the trigger and waste tons of ammo, look at all that wasted stuff on the ground.
+tulio dessoy personally i prefer paintball but i can see why some people would prefer airsoft as it hurts less and is safer but airsoft doesnt quite have the same feeling as paintball just my opinion.
I personally think paintball is better than airsoft because the tournament play is a sport that is not simulating war, but it is a totally different game
