@@Bruhtoi_bramble the point of scratch is to be simple, a 3d mode would be really complicated, aspecially because you can't just add to the x, y and z values to move, you need to know linear algebra to do it correctly (which children clearly don't know)
Assembly language is the "deserted island survivalist" of the languages. Pretty much the bare minimum until you get to machine language and full on baremetal access.
The only thing harder than writing the code is outperforming the software we wrote to do it for you. They've been fighting a John Henry battle against the machine since 1960, and the bell ain't rung yet!
@@abc-oo8ceIn the case of the reconstruction of the Linux kernel in Scratch, a RISC-V architecture was simulated and all functions and operations are processed by that virtual processor from ZERO. You can see it if you analyze the protect and look at the code that is there
No. I started with batch but its too limiting. You cant really do much unless you have executables that does work for you and catch their output, and at that point you might as well use a real language.
I would love to see someone make scratch into a coding language like python or c++. It already has more optimised engines, just a high level visual script would be cool
@@CodingMyWayUpC++, JavaScript, and Python are all main, rigorous computer languages - but Scratch uses a simple programming language for the sole purpose of making 2D video games
@CodingMyWayUp the name of the first song is the less I know the better, scratch is a coding like thing for kids to teach them the kind of thinking that happens in coding
i can confirm as a pythone programmer that all the other languages is much better in all the ways but scratch is a great start for people getting started with programming as you start thinking like one
If scratch had improved lists and variables, a better image editor, a continue, return, break, while loop and a for loop, it would be much easier to code
I thought tesla's auto pilot was stupid and shouldn't have the name `auto` in it. Until I used it in c++ I started lowering my standards for what `auto` actually means
Guys I'm coding in assembly and binary. In fact, assembly and binary are the same, just that in binary instead of characters it's the binary representation of the instructions.
I made a full fledged game on scratch once it was actually pretty great but it kept crashing scratch so I had to move it to turbo warp but Then I kept running into issues with cloning sprites (it would crash) so I used a scratch mod by sheep tester and it did surprisingly well. I use gms2 now because i got tired of having to hard code the camera movements and shakes but it’s still good for beginners.
Yeah and have it run at low FPS and not the fastest speeds. Its a good learning program, but there is no application in actual real world problems when you have python for ML, C++ for rly fast embedded systems or game design, etc…
@@DavidRamirez-sk2sn actually yes, but not a scratch project, convert it into file they accept, there are some tutorial how to convert it into apk for android, next step how to add your apk to store, Think in such manner
a Scratch programmer (more of concept designer) would know how to exactly use a chatbot. Just a suggeston... write programms with chatgpt (i wouldnt use that bot for such case) not ion chqatgpt. The problem is you end when its too easy. and when its too easy .. you could forget about worst case scenarios
So I'm a handful of hours into CS50, it feels good to understand the joke. Have no clue what I'm doing but know there is a lot more to learn. I heard getting good with the commands CTRL-C and CTRL-V is pretty important.
Yooo Thank you algorithm for pushing the same content back to me. Time has passed, I have some fundamentals under my belt. Have learned python, c, and sql. I am developing IOT solutions for warehousing/manufacturing now
I mean, they have ported Doom, Terraria, Minecraft, Geometry Dash and Other games to scratch, plus other impressive projects and demos (Such as working MOD trackers, emulators, and completely original games) Rember that Turbowarp packager exists and if you want any Links to prove my point I'll happily send some :3
A program can be defined as a programming language if it is turing conplete. Scratch is turing complete, so its a programming language. You can even make 3d in scratch, but you have to build a 3d engine from the ground up.
As a Scratcher of 5 years, I can confirm. I am currently making a game engine and programming language after failing a more ambitious project. This one may fail too, but still. That site's for people with 1-digit ages. I love it.
