This is exactly how I proposed to my wife. I’ve never heard of anyone with the same proposal story as us! Super cool! I used a huge banner instead of fields. My poor family had to stand on the ground holding the banner while we flew over.
I'm not a pilot, but I did propose on a plane. This was pre 9/11 and I think if I tried it today, I would be tackled by other passengers. Before they started drink service I went up to the flight attendant at the front. I had my back to the passengers and opened my jacket and pointed to a small bottle of champagne in the inside pocket (that I did give to her). Then I took a note out of my back pocket that had our names on it and handed it to the flight attendant. I didn't realize until afterwards that some passengers were looking at me with worried faces when I went back to my seat. The flight attendant announced the start of drink service, but first if my future wife would marry me would she hit the call button, which she did and the flight attendant brought over the bottle of champagne and two cups. Before she gave it to us they made us go to the front of the plane and I had to get on one knee and make it official (I had the ring with me). The passengers were applauding and congratulating us, and I think some that saw me hand the note over were relieved!
The friend in the back is a real one, recorded the whole thing & got the shot of what he put on the field. I give her an A+ for support and keeping the camera straight
But she is at their backs! So who is filming their fronts, Including viewing the friend at the back? Sorry I am a novice at these things, perhaps the camera is on a stick at their fronts and controlled remotely?
I just tried to propose my girl with coffee with marry me written on it It got swapped with couple next to us His mate says "OMG yes" And he was like I have never seen someone so Happy about coffee until he realized and played it off like champ I also kept quiet whole time After a while he came to me and said "You my friend is sent by the god " Turns out he was trying to propose her for years but didn't have guts to do so My plan was busted but his was successful

Me too! Two reasons: 1. The video abruptly ended when she said it (comedy timing thing). 2. She's a sweet sweet girl. Even after the jig was up and the deal was sealed, she was still trying to follow his directions, which made her even more adorable. 😀

When you're on a plane and your boyfriend is the pilot, if he asks you to marry him, you'd better accept because at that moment your life is in his hands.
The biological reality is that women give up and sacrifice a lot more in relationships, especially child baring. it makes sense for men to traditionally be the one to make these gestures. Not that men don't also need/deserve romance, but biological asymmetry is real and these gestures help reassure and offset that.
@@baxterandcotton You have a fair point but from initiating the interest, planning out dates to proposing(even if that involves the risk of heart crushing rejection), most of this stuff is done by a guy most of the time. Isn't it too much of a pressure?
I purposed to my gf while we were SCUBA diving. Everyone we knew thought it was so cute. 1 year later she cheated on me with her college professor and I found out because she got pregnant by him. Mine is almost as good of an engagement story as yours.
