When ever you are trying to cut wood, a push block or push stick is very nice to have. So I had to share with you the best push block I have ever owned. The funny this is that I made it with scrap wood and some pvc pipe. This is a simple project and I hope you can benefit from the possibilities.

Great idea! I love my push blocks. Makes me feel a lot safer using the tablesaw. I'm keeping this idea for sure. Thank you for another great video!

At first I thought this was a late April fool's joke, but it looks like it will work well. I'll be making one.

When I saw the thumb nail , I laughed, and just had to have a look at the vid. By the time you had finished, I was thinking about what materials I had, to make myself one. I think I will fit a slotted drop down side plate, like a certain yellow one on the market, which will be good for keeping the block steady when cutting narrow strips. Thanks for sharing. Paul UK

Great idea , I will most likely make one but I was thinking of using silicone on the bottom for grip

Here’s a thought 🤔🤔🤔🤔 Slot the screw holes for the plywood piece. That way you can adjust it and have it last longer.

good day! what I love about your video is the fact that you always in corporate different material and techniques. I'm watching so many videos about push blocks and similar, but yours is the only one I saw with the PVC handle: easy and practical. my goal for DIY is to solve the problems or upgrade things in a creative way, with a 360 degrees view, but It looks like a sin not to use pure wood for this creations😂

Great idea for sure! Instead of hot glue on the bottom, you could also attach some sandpaper or cork board for gripping.

I would be concerned about the sandpaper hitting the saw blade and dulling it
@Ted_James
@Ted_James Год назад
@@SpecificLove7 Good point. I saw another video where the presenter said that cutting through sandpaper wouldn't damage the blade. I'll have to try it myself on a cheap blade first, just in case.

I’m guessing your could allow using a scrap piece of 4x4 post as well as the block

You can use a blade guard when using this push block. Just takes a dog to jump on you and you will put your hands down on the table, saw spinning.
@dave_ecclectic
@dave_ecclectic Год назад
These aren't really push but hold down. Push sticks push the material past the blade while keeping your hand far away. Hold down sticks require your hand to pass over the blade. For me this is a no-no. I have a simple rule that my hands don't go near the blade, so no hold down sticks for me.
