Try to to get ahold of the OMP Hobbies M1 and M2. And try a Blade 230s some day. 230s is a great trainer. Learned a lot on mine. Cheap to crash too. Larger the heli, the easier to fly. And as I've sad before, get out of those self stabilized modes before you pick up some bad habits. It'll hold you back badly. Get on the sim and practice 15 to 30 mins when you have some time. You'll pick it right up in a few weeks. Trying to learn on an actual heli, no matter how cheap and durable, can get expensive and very frustrating at times. We need to more people in the heli hobby and your channel is important to get beginners into this and them seeing you succeed.
Great video sorry I haven't been on for awhile been busy with life. Just wanted to remind you to tighten the blades just enough so they don't fall when you hold it to the side but loose enough to give if it crashes this will help the head last longer and will make it more stable
There is a much better one for beginners that we linked in our video description box. It is also a lot cheaper, though both copters are awesome. What is your hesitation with trying one out?
They are really really hard to fly...get a simulator or it will be a pile of scrap in seconds and a good helicopter is expensive. But something small like an omp hobby m2 or blade 230s, don’t go buying a monster helicopter. Mark my words if you buy a helicopter and don’t use a simulator prior you will destroy it in 5 seconds. Don’t let him fool you, he’s flown before and knows how to fly one, this isn’t his first collective pitch heli. And no.,..if you buy a toy helicopter from Walmart you will not be able to fly a hobby grade cp heli
Helicopters are complicated to program. But you can just walk out in your yard and fly... Makes them a favorite over planes to me.. I have watched you guys way before the WLtoys 12428 4wd 1/12 scale and i love how you Both always find a way to show the best rc to buy. The eachine e160 is awesome. Most recommended heli unless you buy horizon hobby pro grade! E160 is better than some smaller hobby grade models. The Xk k110 durability lets you learn with confidence its extremely durable .. Definitely try that one.
Nice video! It's been a while since we have seen a heli, and this looks like a good one. It's been a year or so since I have flown one of my helis, I need to take one out. 8 minutes is a very respectable flight time, and for the money it looks like a great option.
AWESOME helicopter MAIDEN!! LOVE the case!! If I didn't already have a helicopter, I would definitely consider getting this one!! Thanks Saylors for sharing an entertaining review!! 💟👍😘
Love how solid the tail looks on this little bird. I drive a truck, and currently have a Blade 230s with me. this looks like a great 2nd heli for those smaller areas for me to fly. I’m not a pro at helis, but I can do simple aerobatics/light 3D.
@TheRcSaylors BIG thumbs up for you! Nate don't kid yourself or sell yourself short. You're a fine heli pilot. Everyone has their levels. You're doing great! Love that you are nearing very close to hobby grade level heli's. Keep going man! Push to the next level! You can DO this!!!! Love that this model has some decent parts to it. I like the metal CCPM head, the brushless motors and a 2S lipo battery. Not sure about the electronics and wish they would keep to a slightly higher quality and not cheap out on things like the j-hook servo linkages, but like I said this model is getting very close. Would be nice if there were cnc aftermarket parts for it and maybe a better dual esc board available to upgrade. What Bangood needs to understand is that people like to mod their heli's. Add colors or carbon blades, landing gear, & frames etc. Like the Align Trex. If they ever go down that road they would be a serious contender. But until then its just disposable toys. Would love to see you keep making heli videos and step up just a bit more to something like the Eflite Blade 230 S or 330 S. You will LOVE to fly these birds so much! I know they are currently on backorder but if you can get your hands on one of these, the RTF with SAFE is incredible! www.horizonhobby.com/search?q=Blade&cgid=helicopters-by-completion-level-ready-to-fly&srule=price-low-to-high&sz=24
For RTF, this is an impressive set up. I love having extra batteries, and this case is PERFECT for this helicopter. Just makes it feel more complete. Thanks for tuning in! 😁👍😎⚓
Great job. I have been flying planes for 20 year and the rc plane community like to help new pilots learn to fly. The problem with the helicopter community is that they don't like to help on set up teaching new pilots how to fly. Its like some big secret. But hay good flight any time you land in one peace your good.have a good one
Very nice helicopter package, indeed! Great to see you guys out tackling some of the more challenging RC products to fly/operate. Keeping everything honest, as it happens, too! Take care! JP
It definitely flew well. AAABEEE, Nate said push your boundaries, well he didn't specifically, specify you it was a general audience you, but it was an inclusive you as in you also 😉 so AAABEEE fly the nice little helicopter. I've noted your also getting better ads lately, horizon hobby features prominently. So advertisers see you as a good place to be, just like your subscribers. 👍👍. ⚓⚓👍💖💖👍👍⚓⚓
Contact Horizon about the V900, they might very well replace that reciever even if the warranty period is over, they have great customer service. I got my DX9 fixed for free long after warranty was over, and I might very well have caused the damage myself. It took a while, sure, but in your case you just need a replacement. And you also made me really interested in this heli as well.
It seems like they've made some changes in the flight controller, which was very much needed! This is a good thing. They listened to people's feedback and made necessary updates 😁👍😎⚓
Has 5 helicopters and love flying them!!!! Once you go CP you get bored with FP... I still like my air hogs for the rainy days indoors to torture the dogs.. The Walkera Master CP250 is also a good trainer and cheap for a CP heli..
Lol You’re not wrong when it comes to CP! It’s addictive 😂 Would you mind taking a look at my comment a few up from yours, you sound like you’re on my wavelength! 🌈🌈🌈
Watch those pitch pumps(the up and down motions) but, it's a good way to get used to negative pitch. I have always wondered why you haven't checked out the blade mcpxbl2, as it's a good and fairly inexpensive little machine. The other I'm really, really looking at is the OMP M1. I don't fly my bigger machines a ton these days. But having a tiny machine like that one, that you can fly inside is a fun and awesome little tool. And they actually increase your skills heavily. For sure a way to up your skills inadvertently with planes..
Yeah I'll have to consider the blade, but I've heard hit and miss things about OMP M1. Definitely had a blast with this Eachine, so maybe there will be more helis on the channel in 2021 😁👍😎⚓
@@TheRcSaylors yeah the blade is a surprisingly stable machine. I bought it, just for something to replace my 180cfx. But it's become(besides the 2 blade 110mm drones) my in the house orientation machine. And the omp, I like it tons from what I've seen, but it may be more oriented to more advanced fliers. Not sure, simply because I look at it from that standpoint. It has a lot of power, which a novice may not know how to tame. Not completely sure, simply because i don't have mine yet.. But it looks like a very solid machine. Maybe a second or third machine, as, now that i think of it, you have to be able to keep it in one spot in a hover, without drifting, or it might get out of hand. Maybe.. But, I for one would love to see more helis on your channel. You guys make it funny. That, along with more flex planes..
Sorry to leave so many comments just looked at the heli from the link very nice build the head is aluminum and has real servos instead of Linear servos it's definitely a great little heli a must but for me thank you
I much prefer the OMP M2 V2 or the New OMP M1. Much better flying machine and better build Quality and if you have the radiomaster 16ts the OMP protocols are ready for updating with live telemetry
I got the other non pack version. Ive crashed a few times due to apparent no reason. The first time i was just moving foreward then it just drove to the ground for no reason. Broke the boom n almost lost the tail motor. Fixed it and flew it a few times when it would do it again. Thankfully it didn't break. The last I flew it, I think I know what's going on (maybe) It would all of a sudden, on its own, switch into 3d mode. No switches were flipped. I had done enough flying that I was able to recover it but barely. I havnt flown it since. I've tried to contact eachine 3 times with no response.
Hi!! Really cool video!!! Did you try the XK K130 that look similar (to me)? And can you bind this chopper with the Jumper T8SG? Thanks for your work!!!
I was ama member until last year. I dropped it because I feel like they did not fight enough for our drone rights. Not saying I am right or wrong. Thanks for video
I understand Scott. A lot of drone flyers have this same mindset. I know I wouldn't feel comfortable flying my race drone without being insured. Those things are fast and powerful! Do you mind my asking how you would want them to represent the drone part of the hobby that they currently are not doing? AMA has some older employees Im sure, that could probably learn a lot from a well constructed comment from you. I could probably shed a little light on whatever you have to say to them!
The biggest problem for me is that I fly on a farm more than 5 miles from airport and never fly over 100 feet high and mostly 30 feet high. I just fly tracks that I setup. I feel like there should be a separation for rural flying versus around city and crowds. All the rules that were talked about with active responder on the quad copter seemed ridiculous to me. Now I have not kept up to what really happened but at the time that was the talk. I know these are my thoughts and could be wrong. Thanks
Hey I would like a reply I see that you are showing a lot of planes and jets Darren c-19 time but the videos are all videos but my question comes to this I look your jets up and the descriptions and then never show the transmitter why is that why can't we have a plane with a transmitter included with the price could you explain
I'm more of a RC ground guy so my question is because my lack of plane receiver knowledge. Are you not able to just switch a receiver from another one of your planes into the one that fried and use the corresponding remote for that receiver? Liking an RC car I can use any receiver in any car as long as I have a remote that will bind to the receiver. Obviously aside from some receiver and ESC combos which I'm not a fan of.
That’s the same heli model that you couldn’t recommend a month earlier after it crashed. This video is old enough that I don’t really expect you to still be responding to it, but I am left wondering what I missed.
@@MichaelBlueMusic This is a far more advanced model than the e130 or the 70s, those are fixed pitch helis, much easier to fly but no 3D stunts. The E160 is a full collective pitch heli, meaning full 3D is possible but it's hard to master
Didn't you already review the Eachine E160 in August, and you crashed it? (EDIT: Yep, that was the video that you linked at the end.) I know that they were making improvements to it for the new batches... I guess this is the V2 then? Any idea what exactly it is that they changed?
@@boeing747400ifly Thanks. I was following that thread but, I stopped when I decided not to buy one... until they made all of the changes. I'll look into it again.
Eachine is a proprietary brand to Banggood. They actually offer spare part availability to most of their line up and support them for quite some time, especially their more popular models. Hope this helps 😁👍😎⚓
Before drones, I loved (and still do) RC helicopters even though I spent a bundle of money on parts... and that is the problem I had with any brand other than Blade. I really liked Walkera helicopters but it took over a week to get parts every time I crashed. Blade parts were in stock at the local hobby shop. These eachine helis look decent enough but again, how long do I have to wait to get a stripped gear replacement?
Good questions. I'm sticking with Blade because of parts availability and aftermarket support. Not to mention that I live literally FOUR miles from New Creations RC in Willis TX. I just maidened my Nano S3 successfully after a 10 year hiatus from RC. Kirk (LHS owner) always has the parts and batteries I need at internet prices, + he helps me with setups. I'm getting the Blade 230 S V2 next week. In the last month, I've purchased the following in this order: Apprentice RTF + 2 Smart 3200 3S batteries, Spektrum NX 10 TX, UMX Turbo Timber + 5 270mah 2S batteries, Spektrum 2100S Smart charger, Hitech ACDC X2 charger, Nano S3 heli, more batteries and a UMX Ultrix. To say that I'm heavily invested in HH would be an understatement..
Not sure this is durable enough. I've heard the throttle stick makes the collective constantly bob up and down, but I haven't confirmed that. I know the landing gear and plastics are on the extreme for bad quality.
Just demonstrating that you still haven't taken the time to learn about the machine you are flying. But even worse is that you're putting out inaccurate information that a beginner would not realize is wrong. Please, go learn about throttle/pitch mixing, throttle and pitch curves and maybe even tail rotor mixing - it's not difficult, there are plenty of videos on youtube.
Isnt this the same Heli you flew a few months ago? You said the v1 was not a beginner heli. What is the difference between the two versions thAT makes this one Beginner friendly? . I think some parts were machined poorly on the v1
I have the same heli and love it. I noticed though that my tail motor canted a little and not straight up and down, I've thrown the little heli around a bit and am wondering if they come from the factory that way or did I mess around and do that? Any help would be appreciated..
I am planning to get a smart battery do I have to charge it any differently? and if I got ones with a higher discharge do I have to charge them differently? I am still new to the hobby and am curious
I would charge your battery at 5 amps. Also, please consider buying your battery through one of our links if we have ever helped you out 😁 It helps support our channel at no extra cost to you! You can use any of our links that bring you to Horizon, then buy it. You can charge at a higher rate if you want, but slower is always healthier for your batteries.
dji hovers for you, helis need constant input and collective management. you should get a sim first and watch as many videos as you can to see what it takes then practice on the sim. just because you can fly a dji drone around does not mean youll be able to fly a heli at all. not saying you wont be able to get it, you can but dont think you can just jump in and fly it around like your drone.
tap the button and theres horizon, here and there horizon everywhere. wont be long before the saylors are at horizon making videos with them. losi for everybody. gil send the limo.
Lol, that would honestly be really amazing! But still, we love doing what we do now. No strings attached with our channel. Here we can be as brutally honest as we want 😁👍😎⚓
@@nikleiser5888 The E119 is very similar to the Wltoys V911s but they do have some differences. The E119 is like a V911s V2 with a few improvements to make it even better. I made a video comparing the two. Watch if you are interested. Here is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--2qRSWUeR08.html
smaller helis are harder to do that with and typically will just fall because theres very little inertia kept with small light blades. on bigger helis, most definitely
Nate likes a good case and he can not lie You R/C brothers can't deny That when a delivery guy walks in with an itty bitty case And a foam liner in your face You get sprung, want to open it up 'Cause you notice that case was stuffed Deep in the cardboard it's packed in I'm hooked and I can't stop staring Oh baby, I want to get that packin tape off ya And take your picture My subscribers tried to warn me But with that case you got makes me take a thumbnail There you go Nate just for you buddy! Check out my R/C channel if you guys get a sec!
@@ericsloan9225 I would have liked to have found out, but for my $200.00, I received 30 seconds of air time. I spun it up when first received and put it away until the next morning. I put a new battery in and when I gave throttle nothing happened. Turns out it smoked the flight controller. BangmeGood offered me $30.00 as a refund, the fucking crooks!
Your completely new to this helicopter and yet your already talking about "3 d things"? Maybe I'm missing something, but I haven't even see you practice takeoffs or repeated landings. Slow WAY DOWN. Practice the very basics first. There's plenty of time to SLOWLY move into more advanced flying. Anyways...
Dude this is how hobby grade helicopters have always worked lol...it’s a collective pitch heli, that’s what we fly, are you used to flying little toy helicopters from Walmart? If your an aspiring helicopter pilot and have experience I’m Confused how your so astonished at how you raise and lower altitude. Judging how your actually able to fly...you’ve flown cp helicopters before
