For the record: our dog gets TONS of mental stimulation and physical exercise- hours of playing, training, toys, and daycare. We had a trainer and multiple vets evaluate him, and train him (diverting his attention, toys, exercise, time outs...) and they all recommended a shock collar-this one specifically.
I came just to learn to use mine properly and I'll tell you what, these collars are amazing! Probably don't even need the shock because the beep has been enough for an extremely stubborn 7 month old brilliant Mastiff puppy! Best $30.00 I've spent in years. No more yelling or frustration. Just say no and if they don't respond...beep! They instantly listen to your command ❤ No zapping necessary!
The biggest thing is most people think we shock our dogs constantly but really it's usually a strong vibration or possi lying one or two shocks and then just a been or vibrate after that and they are great from that point forward. We don't really shock much if any at all after initial training to the collar ❤️
This works wonders for my female GSD 😊 all I have to do is show her the remote and she sits down and gives me paw. She’s very over protective and liked to mind the neighbors business instead of her own lol. Now she minds her own business unless there’s something running around like a squirrel in her fenced in space. This collar is a lifesaver! Love it ❤
Great video! You are too cute. Thank you so much for sharing. One thing. I think one of the tricks is to not let the dog learn that it is coming from the remote. Better chance of him listening to your verbal command with the beep, vibration, shock etc. So when you eventually take the collar off you will have a better chance of him obeying your voice rather than you having to have the controller in your hand. Hope I am making sense. Again, great video, I learned a lot. Thank you! I will be using these collars for the first time on our two dogs tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Thank you for watching 🙏🏾 and that is very true ! As the weeks went by I learned to start doing that and it has worked tremendously when it comes to listening to verbal command! Thank you for the tips, and good luck 🙏🏾 let us know how it goes !
I just bought one a few days ago! Our puppy is a biter, and goes after pants, blankets etc. the beep and vibrate is helping! Thanks for the video!! Much appreciated!!
You did a great job in reviewing this dog collar enough so that I am going to get one. My dog is 7 months old and none stop barking as well as pulling at his leash to the point where he has tripped us before and I've tried just about everything so hopefully this works and again great job! thanks
Thank You,Your review is Dead on. Changed Our lives . I have a GS that acted the same. I never have had to shock her, She has learned her boundaries and Life is easier for the whole Family Appreciate it ⭐
Wow! Thanks so much for this no-nonsense review. I was getting dizzy trying to look through all the E collars on Amazon. I just want something simple. It looks like this is basic but meets all of my needs. I tried to use your link but I think it might have expired.
❤thanks for telling me how to adjust the settings so I don’t electrocute our poor little beagle. You are the only one to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your dog is beautiful.
Yes its the best.Got my on Amazon. Its adjustable. I have a BM ,wild, unruly and at 14 weeks old she chews on everything including my smaller dogs who got scared. This unit is super easy to set up. Rechargeable.Long lasting battery. I see huge improvement after just 4 days of using it.
Thank you for this video!!! My dog is a boxer/ beagle mix and people think we were mean for using a collar. Unless they are with him for a day or two they’ll never understand. Ours doesn’t bark like yours. He jumps up to get people’s food or on people occasionally. Even after a trainer, she also recommended a collar. After a couple years our old one died and we just got this one. We mainly use it now for recall or he will not come back. He will ignore us so this is also for his safety.
I bought one for my senior small dog, she is a runner. She got out of the yard with me behind her and calling for her to stop. She took me over the mountain and through the hills, a pack of coyotes and a bull were waiting for her. I am close to 70 years old and I can not do this anymore. It was awful. I just received this device a few hours ago but did not receive the hardware you did but it is okay, I think I will only have to use it once or twice. Excellent review, thank you.
update. My dog had collar on and she escaped running from me and I used the vibrate and sound mode and she stopped in her tracks. I was able to pick her up and put her in the yard. If I did not have this collar on her a good chance she would have been run over. She is a runner.
@@deedeew4040 thank you for watching! & that’s great news to hear, Glad it worked for you! Yes, it only takes a few times for them to understand , it only took one time for my dog and i rarely even bring it out anymore , he respects my “No” much more
Based on how your dog is acting, it seems to me that he/she isn't getting enough mental or physical exercise; the Husky breed needs a lot of stimulation in both categories. These breeds are 'working dogs' and are driven with a purpose filled life. Something to keep in mind when choosing pets, good content I hope you can break him of the barking. I hope you can train your pup without the threat of being shocked so he doesn't need it his whole life. I recommend hiding the remote from him when beeping, vibrating & shocking after a stern 'NO' command as the day will come when he won't have the collar on and shall obey the command rather than seeing you reach for the remote and seeing it as threatening. Just my take, I think your doing the right thing 100% by putting in the effort to train obedience into your dog. Shock collars used as a tool are used temporarily as the animals pick up very quickly.
Thank you for watching and thank you for the input! It has definitely done its job. On had to use it on the first day and I haven’t had to since, only have to put it on him maybe once every week if even. Rarely have to use it at all!
I totally agree. Needs more mental and physical exercise. They need that anyway. All that barking means he’s bored. He’s like “I’m bored and I have extra energy. You need to do something about it!”
I also have a Husky, Siberian. And YOU ARE 110% ACCURATE on the fact they WITHOUT A DOUBT NEED WALKS at the very least 1 a day! 2/3 better! And lots of activity needs to work!! But also it’s fair to keep in mind that SOMETIMES people just see a dog, fall in love, and don’t realize what they’re getting into. And can you really fault them for that? I’d like to think your comment helped, and Iam NOT Judging anyone here. I love his sincerity! As far as I’m concerned this is the best experience emotionally speaking on you tube ever! People trying to help people and dogs! What more can you ask for!?? My Abby loves a good game of fetch! On days I’m not up to the walk! Just saying So many alternatives Thanks both of you Stay down for the pups!! 👍🏼✌️👇🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼🐾🐾🐾🐾
I have been reviewing training collars on Amazon the past few days. I like others am put off by the term shock collar. The collar beaps, vibrates and sends a shock. Yet it is a training collar with three functions. I'm likely going to buy this one. I have a Coton de Tulear who is lovely except for when we are out walking. Since he did not get the right socialization due to Covid last year as a puppy, he acts like a beautiful deaf lunatic who does not hear anything I'm saying anytime we encounter another person or dog. Needless to say, despite my training attempts, another intervention is needed like a training collar, which can be very helpful and humane when used properly as it allows a puppy or dog to fully enjoy being out and his time with you and others. I subscribed to a fellow Georgian's channel. I'll be watching. P.S. change the title to training collar.
Good video. I always thought the beep was a warning but I read its supposed to be used as a "good dog" reward noise that way you can let your dog know its doing the right things when its outta voice range. It seemed to help when training my dogs so i thought i would share.
I just wanted to know How the button functions work. Had my collars for months and never used them. Thanks for sharing. I can attest my dog is EXTREMELY well behaved when he is wearing collar.
Thank you! Verbal button explanation way better that reading, ( read, put it down ... look etc.) Its been sitting in box for 2 weeks, he was wearing by the end of your video :) New English Bully showing unwanted attention to elderly, blind/deaf English, both romantically (yes, confirmed fixed) and aggressively occasionally. Excited to use your approach to correct these behaviors!
My dog is the same way. I bought mine for 28 dollars on Amazon. Read the reviews and was sold! Hopefully this changes her excessive barking before I leave her at the doggy resort when I go on vacation.🤞Oh and thanks for helping me figure out how to change my settings back. I accidentally changed everything to 0 😆
Great Video. I just Purchased this. I used it today. She eat everything on the ground. I put this on her for that reason. Lets see how it goes. Thanks for the Video.
Thanks for making this video... The before video our husky does the same thing to my wife. Biting at her when we would say no she will leap towards us. Same identical thing. I have bought the collar and can't wait to receive it. Again thank you for your time.
So glad I came across your video. I just bought the color and was looking for a good review on it. It gives me so much hope because my dog is just like your dog. But my dog (a rescue) is a big full grown one and her bark is deep and loud and sometimes she does this none stop in the middle of the night when I am sleeping. I she keeps going and going until I get up to scold her and put her in the crate as punishment which is the only things that works.
OMG I LOVE YOUR VIDEO! Props! I’ve been shopping all day! I NEVER COMMENT on here, but I’m compelled to now! Because of the way you talked about your wife, Iam also against shocking my puppy! And because you behave like a regular Joe! Real! And above all I can tell you love your Husky ! And I have a barking Husky as well!! Thank you so much! Your sincerity is what helped the most! Blessings to you and your lil family pup included! She’s beautiful (or he? Lol) Still NOT a fan of the shock idea at all! ☹️🧐🥴
Not to be too nit-picking, but the 10% additional on the orange buttons gives you a level of 33, not 40 (which would perhaps be too much for some dogs). 30 to 40 would be a 33% increase. Otherwise, excellent video... I have this unit and it is great.
My dog is the same way. I’ve had many many doggies in the past. She’s a good girl but the barking situation for absolutely everything. She walks 5 miles a day plus fetches so she gets plenty of exercise. She is unlike any of my labs before and I am tired but I’m scared to use one.
I bought one of these, had it on 1 and it was way higher than it should have been at 1, caused her to leap in air and fall to ground. I returned it and got another, haven't tried it yet but did try it on me this time just to be sure. She is a pittie so had on short contacts. Will be trying again with short contacts and rubber caps
thank you for the walk thru and tutorial, mine should be here today. I don't have an issue with barking at all, but I'm hoping I can train my dog to walk without a leash with this, so when she decides to dart I can give a shock to come back. Also, I have two dogs, so do you know where I can get another collar without ordering the remote as well?
lol i shocked myself at 50 with the dogs collar next door! -- well, my gf shocked me lol ...yeah, it'll make you jump, but honestly, it was more startling than pain .... was at that point i decided to get my dog one great vid...sold
I love mine. Works great and I never really have to use the shock. The beep is all he needs now he knows not to fuck around when I pick up that remote lmao *he's a Shepard pit*
That's what I was hoping, too! My collars will be arriving tomorrow but I was curious to see if there was an automatic beep for barking so I found this thread. Thanks for asking 🙌
@@UpNorthSparkles I will say this, the collars do work great and the battery life is phenomenal. But.....you gotta have the remote in hand or nearby when they start barking. I keep my remote on the nightstand and activate it if they bark for more than they should. It has a beep tone, a vibration mode and a single and double shock mode. You'll be pleased with it.
@@erickreitz4051 I purchased a phenomenal auto-train but ran it over with my truck 😖🤦♀️ Then I bought one from Chewy for half the price but unfortunately it was NOT waterproof 😬😫 I should've read more reviews and info prior to ordering these but my Aussie Facebook group highly recommended these so if y'all say they work, I'll take your word! They should be here by tonight, and just in time for my sanity 🤣🙌
I’ve purchased a few of these for my dogs. I have a Siberian Husky and a Rottweiler. They do work but I will say.... In my opinion. The power button on the collar itself was somewhat cheaply made. My dog bit onto two of these during play and now no power. But.... even with that being said. I will say. If you use these properly? They work! I have only had to utilize the shock button once and I’m telling you... I use the sound for recall. As soon as they hear that beep. They’re coming straight to me. When I utilize the vibration with a quick single NO! They stop in their tracks.... So. If you’re someone who doesn’t like to think of shocking your baby? Honestly. You really don’t have to. They work but that power button not working on two collars are very disappointing to me.
Hello. Question. So I have a Labrador Retriever, she is almost a year old. She counter serfs. It's really bad. She grabs whatever she can get. Towels, Food including avocados which are bad for dogs, pepper, she has broken my dads, mom and my glasses twice. She has a half tare ACL in one of her legs right now and hopefully getting surgery soon. We are thinking about trying a e caller only for counter surfing because we have tried so many other ways. With other things we use food or just being really energizing when on walks and she does well with that. Food just doesn't work with counter surfing. Its almost rewarding the behavior. It is only a matter of time she grabs something really bad that will actually hurt her. Thoughts????
Hey! Great question! With counter surfing, that could be tough. If you were to use the E collar for that you would have to catch her at the exact moment she does that so she can associate jumping up on the counter with getting the e collar treatment. Now if you can catch her at the exact moment, she will catch on quick and realize if I jump on on the counter bad things happen, but I feel like it would only work catching her at that very moment, anything after could possibly defeat the purpose
@@gaboyz5252 ya and we are with her a lot do the time and see her trying to so. Also I have a lot of people in my house and she is almost always in the same room with someone or in her crate
My dog is a 6 month husky mix with Rottweiler and she does the exact same thing.. That’s literally my dogs behavior lol I’m going to order this right now! Curious what is your husky mixed with ?
Any idea if the collar still works if your at one end of the house (inside), your dog is outside at the far end of the house (maybe 100m away) , postman arrives and she starts going crazy? or do you have to be facing the remote control to the collar or in the same room etc? Thanks :)
Using a shock collar on a Husky mix dog I think is not correct because Huskies are very vocal dogs or the most vocal of dogs that should not be considered bad behavior, this is not destructive behavior. It is part of the Husky's nature and it is how he communicates and interacts with us humans. I don't want to be negative or offend but that's my opinion
One question before I actually use it on my dog, when pushing the orange shock button the collar turns red as opposed to when I hit the vibration or sound button. Is this normal? Just wondering why it turns red, the battery is full.
WALMART HAS IT FOR $32---- I ONLY USED IT TO KEEP MY AKITA FROM WALKING AWAY & WOULDN'T COME BACK... 3 LOW ZAPS.... & HE FINALLY GOT THAT IDEA COME BACK OR ⚡.
Just got 8 weeks of Goldendoodle and if leave the dog in a crate or playpen starts crying and whining cause is just a puppy. Would this stop the crying.
Still in the beginning phase of the collar! So we keep on while we are around. Once we leave we take off, so we haven’t really tested him without it for over 15 min, but it’s been 10 min times of him not having it on and his behavior was still great!
Hey. Good vide, thanks for sharing. My dog has another issue. When we walk he doesn´t pull but he keeps waling infront a few feet and have to correct him constantly and it´s annoying for both. Also the only time he listens to sit or stay it´s when it´s time to eat and I don´t put the plate down until he listens. This would work right? Also, I read some reviews about the latency, that it take a little longer to revive the stem or the vibration or sound after you pressed it. And is it big or looks ok on the dog?
Thank you for watching! I have a prong collar for my dog, and he used to be really embarrassing when used to walk him but the prong collar corrected all of his behavior! I would really recommend it! I believe with the commands you should use a different training tactic other than the e-collar. Also, mine does not take any time at all to reboot and use the vibration, instantly delivers the shock, vibration and beep in no time!
You should always try it on yourself first - at level 1? Because if you did, you would have tazed yourself with the most painful and extreme shock you've probably ever felt. It's worse than 120V AC shock. We bought this piece of trash thinking the 1-100 setting would range between something like a twinge or a tickle, to a painful jolt. We were wrong. At level 1, this thing sends a stun shock through your entire body and all you want to do is immediately throw it through a window (or in the trash). I would NEVER subject my poor dog to this. Even some vile jerk using it to turn his dog into a scared, mean, and anxious fight dog would only end up sending the dog into a corner cowering in pain. So after returning it, we did some research showing the various shock voltages over a range of products and wound up getting the Mini Educator ET-300 e-collar because it has a true range that can be set very low and raised slightly until your dog responds. Many countries outlaw shock collars for animals, and for good reason. This piece of garbage should never have been allowed to go to market. Like others, we were fooled by the many fake comments on Amazon which people posted to get their $20 Amazon gift card. So the whole thing is a scam. Start by looking at the negative "1 star" comments first and you'll get the real understanding from honest users.
Rubber is non conductive. Of course it does nothing when you use them. The rubber tips are for people who don't want to shock their dogs. It's added protection
