I don’t think you can make a sweeping judgement like that based on a 7.5min video clip of jackass. People complained all the time about this show and the movies alone. Even in the video you saw disapproval. A vocal minority have always been outspoken on the topic of their offence. People used to duel to the death if you called them names centuries ago! Everyone isn’t offended these days, it’s just not recognised and remembered that there is a spectrum of tolerance and some sit at the intolerant end and let you know it
