Multi Million dollar neighborhood and your doing diy projects on parts, working on vehicles, and detailing them… your neighbors must love you! So many vehicles you park them on both sides of the street! 😃 Keep up the good content!
May order this one for my new to me 80. I probably overpaid but clean triple locked unmodified are hard to come by. Can’t wait to start working on it! Great channel!
Cool! You will love it. That Roof Rack is tops! Also check out my visor video..Typically the 80 series visors are saggy, upgrade to the visor pilots use... Makes the interior cabin feel upgraded.
Where are you located? There is no discounts during the year, but through my channel, there is a 5% discount. Code is CTL15 and the link is in my description: www.ruggedbound.com/collections?ref=LC949
im thinking the sherpa racks are by far the best 80 series rack made (in my opinion). is hilarious people still buy prinsu when you can get 3X the quality. these do have a cool safari/Australian look though
minimal wind noise. Probably less wind noise than was already existing.. This rig sold, but I am about to install another rack on a 80, and on a 200..So I will listen pre install and post install.
I'm currently stationed in Japan and getting ready to return to California with my 1997 FZJ80 Vacation Package. I see you have a JDM Land Cruisers. Do you have any recommendations on getting them registered in California?
@Gil Wood 32k. I now have another one.. Midnight Shadow.. will be posting a video on it as its for sale.. same 32900 asking price. It is soooo clean! California LC.
That makes no sense. You could screw a wood pallet up top too I guess? If you want a free ARB rusty Roof Rack, I will give it away. You can refinish it with a rattle can and lift the 250 super heavy rack up which is 175lbs heavier than the Rugged one, taking away load... You can even save by getting an old Cherokee than a 80 series too.
Dangerous roof rack. Can’t off-road with how it is attached to the vehicle. Only a matter of time before a RTT will be too much for those weak attachment points. Hate to blow your ego, but this is not an off-road capable rack.
What? Not even sure what you are talking about... Do you advise to have the roof rack attach to the frame as an Exoskeleton? It's a Roof Rack, it attached to a roof, the 80 series has heavy duty rain gutters..This attached and clamps around the rain gutter. Please indulge with a more description explanation than just making a blatant false remark. This Roof Rack supports 600lbs. If you went 80 mph and hit a low bridge overhang, about Roof Rack height, I am sure you could rip a it off. And just like any pre trip verification.. check your nuts... 80 series owners know. Wait a minute... is this Tom Thule?
@@CruisingTheLand I own a Land Cruiser and multiple 4Runners. While the Land Cruiser is more ruggedly built, it is not as well-designed or laid out as the 4Runner. For instance, do you know where the A/C and AHC tubing is located? It's in the wheel well house, right where rocks would hit it. It seems like a poor design choice.
