Best Roofing Shoes for roofers: Reebok nano and Nike Metcon 

Thank you for your interest, research and efforts to discover the best, grippiest and safest shoe for going on the roof. I'm just wondering about going on silicone roofs with good amounts of pitch. Would these crossfit sneakers also be extremely grippy? Thank you

I would’ve never considered keeping my feet lower to the ground that would help slipping. I do have a pair of converse that stick extremely well but just hard shoe to wear 10-12 hours a day. I’m eager to try CrossFit shoes now

Thoughts on think futsal (indoor soccer) shoes? I think they would work great, low center of gravity, good grip, good support, good agilty.

I use hiking shoes for my daily, they work pretty great

When it comes to installing I use And1 high rise basketball shoes from Walmart cost $15. When estimating Merrell hiking shoes for grip and style.

You should review Clarks desert boot, started using them for estimates on roofs 10/12 no problem

Thanks David, I just had my hail damaged shingles replaced. In Houston, the roofs get hot and the crew damaged the new shingles by walking while installing the ridge vent. Have you done a video on procedure to avoid shingle damage ? J K

I also use the foam bottom Walmart shoes. There is a $10 pair as well as the$15 pair. They grip better than any other shoes I've found. My whole crew uses them.

I use Jordan they last the longest for me and grip is awesome

How about on metal roofs.. had trouble on a 8/12 in a little rain the other day

Store called Canadian Footwear in Winnipeg ( yes Canada) sells specially made Roofing boots. They have a smooth crepe sole. They have excellent traction and don’t scuff up the shingles when sunny and hot.

I install solar panelse....merrells hiking shoes...can order wide also on amazon which help with rolling your ankle on step inclines side stepping carrying materials up...also are waterproof...can not submerge as sometimes I have to walk through mud I will use waterproof red wings I've had for awhile to get Materials over to the ladder...then I will switch to the shoes.. ..unforurtantly there is no boot shoe hybrid that is light like a ankle shoe but waterproof and strong like a leather boot...boots will always be more durable and not as good working in the summer on a roof your feet will sweat because boots are great for keeping moisture in and out no matter what they advertise...so merely moab 2 vent shoes ... others swear by as well ...but I believe you need to find what works best for you..I am 6'4 top heavy with a belly and tooth pick legs...not very agile and not as good on my feet as other lighter smaller people...you have to drop a little cash but just remember most will last you linger then the cheaper shoes...you might need to buy a few pair over a year.. 40$ shoes 3 times a year or 90$ shoes once a year or more....and it's good to have a back up incase the do get really wet I switch to some sketchers hiking boots I keep in a bag just for an emergency. .. thanks for the video...

Any shoe that has a foam outer sole works best for me.

Roofing is not only shingles. Used that shoes torching and hop mopping dont work. Or used hot summer days don't work. For roofing
