That’s was amazing listening I thought Ross coming to the media showed us a whole new different side.. but that’s another side altogether again. Joey n Ross have got some real chemistry.. I could see them doing an hour or two together every week. But I also think he’s the best coach on the market at the moment. If I was at Essendon, i’d take the same approach North did with Clarkson. Do your due diligence.. yes, but deal with him exclusively.. all the contenders will still be there waiting if you decide halfway through the process he’s not your guy. But that show of commitment is probably the only way you’re gonna get Ross Lyon to turn away from all his other interests outside of football. Even if he only has the same success he had at Fremantle and Saint Kilda.. it would still be taking Essendon higher than they’ve been since the 2001 grand final. But he could go one better because I still think he’ll be a better coat this time round. I’m in at the end of the day he’s a toe poke and wayward bounce from walking away with two bags. And I’m a Geelong supporter that has no emotional attachment to who coaches Essendon.
