I love the black headcanons for the human boys so much but biologically they'd actually be asian like their dad, either way I love how artists interpret them
i was thinking all are half Asian but then have different races too (but raph full Asian) due to them being different turtle spieces it makes sense that they would be other races as humans in my eyes
wanna know a small thing of human rottmnt that annoys me? well when people make them all one race, this only annoys me cause i think "if they are all diffrent turtle spieces shouldnt they all be diffrent races" and with that diffrent races mainly show, they are still half japanese but they dont look like the same race is what im getting at. idk why it annoys me

as far as i know, it's just a headcanon the fandom adopted. People just wanna draw them that way haha. It's not rlly canon by any means but it's just weird seeing human non-black/blasian/hispanic versions of the turtles now. + 2/4 of the turtles' voice actors are black i think (Mikey and Raph's), it just feels like a natural fanon decision more than anything lol Hope this helps (:
I also wanna add to the answer above that their father not being black and voice actors not being black doesn't actually mean anything? They aren't Splinter's biological father, they're adopted. And it's not just because the voice actors are white that the characters also have to be, because they're only playing their voices. And it's just a headcanon, it's how people see them if they were humans, there's nothing wrong with that, there are gonna be people who will draw them white, it's not a rule or anything. Also, they're literally turtles, not humans, so there isn't anything in the series claiming they would be white, nor claiming they would be black. It's just a headcanon.
