One of my favorite headlamps ever - that is for sure. Looks like they are not coming out with a new one for 2020 - so this one is still the best with the BlueTooth. Enjoy it.
Out of curiosity, you mention a couple of things like the flood light is not wide enough and that the constant lighting does not go high enough .... Is that with adjusting beam type and intensities on the app? On my Nao 2 I was definitely able to get full brightness in constant lighting and everything else was adjustable as well like flood brightness versus spot brightness and they could be adjusted independently to achieve the exact beam pattern you were looking for. Does the phone app not give those same options like the computer app does?
It does give the option on the phone app. Since this video I've been able to tweak my settings in the app to give me almost what I want. I'm loving this headlamp for a lot of things I do, but for looking for snakes at night - I love the Petzl Ultra Rush - the light is so perfect for this activity...
Hmm, I wonder if I said it wrong in the video. You can ONLY have 750 lumens in Reactive LIghting Mode - when you're looking at something FAR away - like trees or down the road and the automatic sensor decides to give you 750 lumens. Otherwise, you're limited to 530 in max manual (constant lighting) mode as shown on this chart on my page for the headlamp - headlamps101.com/petzl-nao-plus-headlamp-review/
yeah, depends on the settings. If you tweak the power curve in the app - does it help, or are you already doing that and still need more battery? So far, I've resisted buying more of their $70-80 USD proprietary batteries.
I looked at this Petzl light, but for the price you can get two Zebralight headlamps which I did. I use the full flood Zebralight as a waist light, and one with a little more throw on my head. You get two great lights and a whole lot more output and runtime. Plus you don't have to pay a fortune for petzl's proprietary batteries, as Zebralights use regular 18650 batteries. They even have High cri headlamp options so your night viewing is more accurate and enjoyable.
@@Wigglythegreat2 the battery is seriously overpriced, yeah I'm probably gonna end up using the one carrier that comes with it and just switch the actual battery for a generic 18650
