Jaybird Vista2 are by far the best sport earbuds in all aspects. I come from the original Vista's (wich already are great sportsman earbuds' set) and it's really a great upgrade. They are expensive but worth every penny.
Really? I just bought vista 2 and beats fit pro, and in my opinion the beats fit pro beat the Vista in all aspect except for the wireless charging and in app customization, such as eq. Though I would say the vista 2 are much more comfortable after a duration of time, but honestly both are really good but in my opinion beats fit pro is just slightly better in almost all aspect, probably gonna have to return the vista 2 because I don’t need to 2 earbuds and because of its connectivity issue
The for pros just don’t fall out man. They sound great for buds but because they are so secure I recommend them to anyone who wants to work out and listen to music
Was anyone else as surprised as me to hear Dave say that he'd go with the beats fit pro??? I thought for sure he'd say JayBird. Keeping us on our toes, nice work!
Ha! It's honestly a reaaaally hard decision but I've been really digging the Beats Fit Pro. I think if I already had the Jaybirds there's no reason to upgrade/sidegrade though. Both are awesome.
Man, thanks so much. I watched soooo many videos trying to find the right earbuds and just wasn't really sold on any of them but after watching your video something clicked and I just decided to go for the Beats Fit Pro (hadn't really even considered them), and I love them. They check all the boxes for me and your review helped make the decision easy!
As stated by others, you CAN adjust the volume directly from the left and right bud on the Beats Fit Pro. This is GREAT - even the Apple AirPods can’t do this (yet) which is ridiculous BTW. Just be sure you have latest IOS software downloaded as this feature was recently added. Just toggle that feature on or off in the settings. If you toggle on you will lose ability to then toggle between transparency and ANC modes. No biggie. I guess these buds are really your fav now!
So the reason why the Jaybird V2s are around the same price is because they have a major issue with its connectivity. I’ve had the V1s for a few years now and bought the V2s when they came out. The app does give you the chance to increase the ambient noise levels, but I’ve had way more problems with them than the vista 1s!! They’ll disconnect randomly, one ear bud won’t connect properly so putting them back into the case works. Just this past weekend I thought they were toast….and they’re earth proof. So doing a hard reset for the third time worked. And whoever reads this Just get the v1s or the beats fit pros.
Interesting, I haven't had any connectivity issues with mine and I use them 3-4 times per week running and on the treadmill. What are you paring them to?
@@ChaseTheSummit I’m pairing them with my new iPhone 11. I’ve done everything from forgetting the device, doing a factory reset and the hard reset that’s on their YT channel. It’s sad because I really love JB V1s and was looking forward for these, but I’ve had so many problems and issues with mine it’s unreal.
Awesome review! Incredibly thorough! Just one note though you can add turning off ANC/Transparency with press and hold. Settings>Bluetooth>Beats fit pro>i icon>press and hold>noise control> then click off and all 3 can now be selected with press and hold. Volume control is under “press and hold” as well but you will have to sacrifice noise control for it.
Been using the first Vistas for years love them, and the EQ is so nice to have, can have amazing bass on Hiphop/EDM and lower bass and higher mids when it's some RnB or anything lyrical
Now this is my type of content, I loved this video bro! The BFP are excellent. Best $200 I’ve ever spent in my life lol already subbed and thumbs up! 🔥🔥🔥
Great video! One thing I would have liked in your test though: How well do these earbuds work with mp3 running watches like Garmin Fenix? I’ve tried connecting different headphones to my watch and some work much better than others.
I've been using the beats fit pro with a Garmin Fenix and they work quite well. But you're right that this could be an issue with some other earbuds. I used to have a pair of Jabras that were a pain to pair with my watch.
I got the Tribit Flybuds 3 two weeks ago, and they are exactly like you described in the video 👍 Excellent value for money and great running partners. I store them with my other running gear in the Tribit case and they are always charged and ready to go. They are easy to connect to my Garmin and have a great fit in my ears. Cons: Volume can't be ajusted on the earpieces themselves and the sound is clear but not very engaging.
I finished watching your reviews and have been looking at the beats fit pro. I was going to ask how they paired with Garmin watches. I had the power beats pro awhile back but had two issues. The charging case would at times only charge one. The other issue was only one would pair with my watch. It was very annoying that I went back to the powerbeats with the wire. I would like to try these because the fit seems like much better then say the airpods pro which always fall out. Also, i would like to wear my sunglasses more comfortably when running.
@@fitnezzfreak Hi, have you found a good pair that works with Garmin watch, but also don't have the around ear hook, I'm trying to find something like that so I guess it worth asking. :)
As a runner and bike rider for sports earbuds I'm mainly interested in mainly two aspects, the runner's "thud" that normally comes with earbuds that seal your ear canal and wind noise ! You do touch upon the "thud" for Earfun Free Pro 2, I have them and do get the "thud"...will have to try again. As a side note you say their ANC isn't great but I find it really good, not that far from the best in class Bose QCII, but for sports that's not the most useful feature as ANC will always amplify wind noise. So how's the "thud" on the other ones ? I've read comments saying it was really well handled on the Vista 2s that I have yet to try. Of course the "best" earphones for sports are probably the Aftershokz since there is no thump and you stay aware but the sound is "tinny" :-(
Beats fit pro are Beast .....I am using them. Only one issue is there when we use beats with android.. Sometimes one of the bud gets sound first and other one after second lag only first time of their connection...
For the price, sound, and mic quality I've been happy with the new Sony WF-C500s. Been on several runs and summit hikes and they'e stayed snug in my ears the whole time without any discomfort.
yeah.., i picked up those earfun free pro2, after your review put them over the top for me… after watching a few others. It is my first wireless earbud .., so I am very satisfied.., even if I had paid full retail price
Love my beats fit as well. You can toggle the ANC/Transparency as well as OFF from the earbud. Just have to change the settings from your phone to allow that.
Great review! One important aspect is comfort! I sometimes get ear fatigue with the Beats fit pro, The Liberty Soundcore are super comfortable, but do move around.
Soundcore is a hoax! Loser sound quality. Without soul and they paid money to RU-vidrs to make fake disgusting promotional vids. Return my soundcore without doubt. Im owning three earbuds now 1) P17 2) XM4 3) Beats fits pro As I’m apple ecosystem with Apple Music subscription. Beats fit pro is truly handless and spatial audio rocks. Beats fit pro is my go to earbuds now
I wonder why nobody mentions issues with cheaper earbuds: lack of volume control, lack of power on/off option (requires the case to have with you at all times)
Most of these earbuds require the case to turn off unfortunately. I agree that's a weird feature it would be nice to be able to toss them in your pocket without the case.
Yeah, to the best of my knowledge the M30's and the Flybuds 3 are nearly identical. The only difference is the much bigger case on the Tribit Flybuds with a bigger battery.
You can change the volume on the Beats fit Pro by long pressing on the earbuds. One side to go down one side to go up. U need to change this in the app settings (then u will lose the ability to change noise cancellation from the earbud)
Yep, I later learned this. Unfortunately you do sacrifice other controls in order to activate volume controls. I wish there were "multi tap" options like other earbuds.
@@ChaseTheSummit yeah would be ideal. However I leave mine on transparency mode all the time, hate the noise cancel mode as it's like ur in a bubble away from reality and the off mode still blocks too much outside sound. Transparency is awesome. So use the volume function on the earbuds. The main downside for me is no function to fast forward or rewind or skip back
My first pair were the Jaybirds and I can honestly count on one hand how many times I used them, Bluetooth would drop for a second or make a scratching noise, spewing I lost the receipt as the cost me $300aud, next I tried a corded version of the Beats to negate the Bluetooth dramas I was having but found the sound quality appalling so I took them back and got the Apple air pod pros and WOW, super comfy, incredible sound, superior conection, noise cancellation, wireless charging, I even bought an iWatch for my short runs so now I don’t have to take my phone on runs 😂
Yes! You can toggle volume controls in the settings. Unfortunately you can't have both ANC on/off and volume controls at the same time though. You need to pick one or the other. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the vid! I bought both of the airpod pros latest versions to see what’ll be the best fit and not fall off while jump roping and I ended up returning them right away. Buying the beats fit pro, be back with an update….
Update: got them and had to adjust them once through a 30 min jump rope workout. Does hurt my ear a bit after a while, but totally worth it if you need workout buds.
@@ChaseTheSummit they are great when they work, but I found them less reliable than the $30 generic bluetooth earbuds on Amazon. Sad considering it's a $150 product.
Nice review. You can set the button up to do all 3 audio modes, inc off, not just Transparency and ANC. Or any of the two. I love my Vista’s (first gen), and just got the Beats. First impressions were good until i went to the gym. ANC seems to amplify a lot of high end noise liek talking and weights being dropped etc, so im getting more noise than my Vistas that have no ANC. Might send them back, but i do love the fit and audio quality.
Yep, my mistake. But what I find frustrating is that you can't toggle through all of the modes, only 2 of them. ANC can do weird things with certain sounds. Thanks for sharing!
@@ChaseTheSummit as I said, you can do all 3 modes, inc off, with those buttons. I’ve sent mine back. Like you say, ANC is a bit weird. It seems to amplify higher pitches sounds in the gym, and even more so wind noise. So I can’t use them outdoors, and have to disable ANC if people are on the treadmills near me at the gym.
Great Vid But The Beats Fit Pro Does Have Volume Control in The Bluetooth Settings just have to toggle it on Right ear for volume up and Left ear for volume Down
I am returning my Beats Fit Pro due to the terrible battery life. Another downside is that the volume isn't that loud if you want to crank up a song. Only getting 4 to 5 hours usage with it till it dies. Not great when you spend $200.00 for the earbuds. I am in real estate and its a shame I have to return them as sound and fit is excellent. Now I have research again to find the battery life, sound and fit again of new earbuds.
@@ChaseTheSummit I have ANC turned off. Looking at Jaybird Vista 2 but it say s battery life only about 8 hours which means 5 hours. I like the small earbuds so I don't have a rocket ship sticking out of my ear. I tried Jabra 75 and they don;'t stay in the ear when riding bike or working out and it has falling out of my ear so many times that it no longer works. Tired of being a test dummy and spending all the money to find that awesome earbud. What about the BLX buds?
Just WISH someone will evaluate how well All The earbuds handle PHONE CALLS! How easy to receive & make calls. I don’t give a dang about music. It’s phone calls when I’m on the road 80% of the Time. So frustrated with the 3 earbuds (expensive) I’ve tried with ease of making & receiving calls.
I'm the opposite. I use them mainly for music and phone calls on a VERY VERY rare occasion. But I'll keep that in mind for future videos. Thanks for watching!
I would love to hear a best of open ear design sports headphones, especially how the oladance keep up against others (bose, aftershockx, etc.). I dont like to shove in those buds inside my earcanal, because of medical reasons and I want to hear my surounding. So my runs are pretty much silent :(
Yeah, this. I will say, I tried the budget Aftershockx & they blew me away actually for what they are. I wanted something for riding my bike to where I could hear & they did that perfectly, but...They gave me head aches which I guess some people can experience. I hated that I had to return them because they sounded better than expected after reviews.
Try the Soundpeats Air 3s, open ear design, pair them with my S22 and they're awesome, never fall out and only $40. I'm not an audiophile but they sound good and actually have decent bass.
Did you ever do a follow up video on the Oladance earbuds? I was looking through your videos and didn’t seem to find it. I saw the first one you did, but that was it. Just curious if you would still recommend those are not, im thinking about picking these up.
So just FYI I just tried to use your Amazon link for the earfun free pro 2. The link worked to the Amazon page but the coupon code did not work I tried a couple times both with and without caps, finally I just gave up with the code and clicked the coupon option that was on the page, now I'm not sure if the coupon check box option was a prime coupon that was on my prime or if it was an earfun manufacturer coupon or what not but it was the same 20 dollar savings that your code was going to give so it worked out for me on my end. Thank you for the link and the great video I hope you get at least some credit for linking me to a purchase and I'm sorry I couldn't get the actual coupon code itself to work! I'm telling you it didn't work in the comments not to complain but to help and lend support to something you may or may not be aware of! Thanks man be safe
Yeah totally thanks for the video even old it helped alot cuz I don't have a lot of money and I normally do not like wireless because I've never been a fan of blue tooth audio I installed car audio for years and for years couldn't find a wireless solution that didn't introduce tons of noise but It's been years and I'm gonna risk it haha so your video helped greatly!! Thanks for the reply be safe!!
This was a great video. I have the Jaybird Vista and found them uncomfortable in my ears. I recently bought the Apple Airpods Pro, along with memory foam tips and they won't stay in my ears when I'm heavily sweating while working out. I love the Jaybird sound, so I was wondering, are the Vista 2 more comfortable? They are expensive at $269.99. I clicked the Beats Pro link, but they weren't listed. I'm guessing they aren't in Canada yet? Thanks so much. for your help.
The Vista 2's are almost identical in terms of fit to the original Vista's so if they were uncomfortable I'd steer you away from the V2's. Unfortunately it seems that Beats is having a hard time rolling out the Fit Pro's internationally and they're really only available in the US and select areas. I'm assuming it's supply chain issues like everything else in the world! Thanks for watching!
Great video! Just wanted to know how long can you wear the beats fit pro’s for before you’re ears start to ache? I have watched multiple other reviewers say that it is an issue. Thanks!
Kind of depends on your ears. For me I can do several hours at a time without any issues but I think if I had smaller ears the force of the "finger" pushing into the corner of my ear would bother me.
Idk about nearly impossible to shake out of your head for the beats pro, I yawned and they fell out, then again a hard sprint outside on concrete they stayed in lol
I would say in terms of quality of tech and sound quality go for the beats and for longer period of comfort and durability go for the vista 2’s. I would also want to say iOS users should go for the beats side and android users should go for the vista 2, (I was struggling on which to buy so I hope this can help) :)
Hi! Great review cheers. Question on the touch controls of the liberty 3 pros. Do you find that if you get very sweaty during a run the controls can self trigger (I live in the tropics and this has been an issue for me before).
Hi, how are things? What headphones do you recommend for running and for daily use? That sound good and fit well, do the LG tone TF8, Jayrbid Vista2, JBL Reflect Flow beat fit pro, or any other for 240 dollars look good? Many thanks
I'm not a very fancy tech type of a guy. I just like simple. I had the Samsung buds+ and they work for me, until I started running. The volume keeps adjusting when running and that's pretty annoying 😒
I have the BFP, Jaybirds X3 and the Beats Flex. The latter two have a cord. I've knocked the BFP out of my ears in the gym a couple of times just by wiping the sweat off my head. I apparently knocked my ear or something and they fell out. I was wondering if the Jaybird Vista 2 earwings are as big as the ones in the X3 but it appears that they are not. The X3 earwings perfectly fit my ear crevice from the front to the back and are held in by pressure from both sides. It looks like all of the newer wireless models use a smaller earwing compared to the old days.
The Vista's come with several ear-wings in the box. I use the "medium" size but there's one larger. I'm surprised your Beats Fit Pro's fell out! I guess that just goes to show that we all have different ears because they're rock solid for me. Thanks for sharing.
@@ChaseTheSummit I have huge ears. I do wish that the BFPs had different earwings just like they have different eartips. I really like the overall feature set of the BFP - though I do wish that they had 1) a better case, and 2) wireless charging. I am looking forward to the second generation BFPs as they got a lot right with the first gen.
Is ANC while running outdoors actually good? I'm freaking out a bit already when I wear my Bose QC35 and I have to walk down and/or cross the street. It feels like a bus could hit me at any time and I'd never hear it coming. Do you get use to it or is it mainly a treadmill feature?
It's useful but it can be distracting at times if it's windy or if you're moving fast as it creates a sort of static sound in the earbuds. I like the ability to turn ANC on/off on the fly.
I haven't had any connection issues with my Vista 2's and actually had pretty good luck with my Vista 1's but it kind of depends what you're paring them to. ANC is better on the Beats Fit Pro but the JayBird ANC is quite good as well.
In my ears the Beats Fit Pro are really the best but eh Vistas are quite good as well. The Beats can get a little fatiguing to wear for long periods of time because they do "lock in" a bit more aggressively but it's fine for me. Hope that helps!
Still picking the beats over the jaybird? Just got the beats but noticed the wingtips kind of start to hurt my ears pretty quickly and wondering if the jaybird a are any different
I prefer the fit of the Jaybirds but it's really a personal preference. The Earfun's are smaller and lighter but I find they don't have as secure of a fit. However, if you have smaller ears you might find they fit better.
@@ChaseTheSummit thank you for your quick response. My ears are anything but small. I was debating between the Earfun Pro and the Jaybirds 2 SE from Sams Club. They are the same than the Jaybirds Vista 2 but without wireless charging. The are on $99.99 on sale so it’s very cheap. I will get those.
I like them for just about everything. Rock, Podcast, Electronic, etc... They have a pretty balanced EQ curve but they do lean towards the bassier side of things.
@@ChaseTheSummit I took the chance and bought them but found it hard to find comparison videos with them. They’re extremely good. I also got the older beoplay 2.0
JAYBIRD VISTA 2 are by far the worst I ever had. Why? The case is garbage. After 6 months it stopped working. After a month I’ve managed to have a replacement case for free and just a little over a week, even the replacement case stopped working. Doesn’t charge, doesn’t connect, unless, if you are lucky, it does ONLY when you have the case plugged in with its charging cable. Go on line and you find and endless number of people that are experiencing the same thing. Do yourself a favour, DO NOT BUY JAYBIRD.
